Survivor 20:Hero's vs Villians, live comentary

Rupert will always be the guy who decided to dig a shelter into the sand before a rainstorm. Now, that was the worst shelter ever.

I gotta say... I am stunned that I am actually rooting for the villains. I *hate* villains. But when "heroes" are this stupid, they lose their rights to my support.

There aren't any villains or heroes on survivor. Though, I might agree with grouping them as sane/insane, likeable/unlikeable, athletic/non-athletic, and/or smart/dumb.

on the beach near the tidal line....

A dugout shelter isn't a bad idea necessarily, but not below the high water mark.

I've been seeing the commercial for the new episode all through 24 on Global.

I've had to listen to Russell say: "...he threatens Russell Hantz, so he has to go."

Remember the good old days when egotistical assholes got voted out for threatening unity.

Goodbye Russell, I hope I never have to see your ugly mug on TV again.

I think you underestimate Russell...:rommie:

The goodbye can be Wednesday or when his ass leaves the island, I'll just hit mute whenever he opens his mouth!

The preview said that both tribes were going to tribal council. I guess that would remove any chance of Rob delaying a confrontation until the merge. Though, they probably have one individual immunity idol for each tribe, so that could still save him.

Rob saves himself with individual immunity. Russell pulls off a huge victory by convincing Tyson to change votes (thereby getting Tyson eliminated).

And the battle rages on...

Well, round one to Russell. I'm sad to see Tyson go, as he's pretty hilarious. Unfortunately it seems like a lot of the entertaining guys are duking it out while the Sandras of the world stick around wasting everybody's precious entertainment minutes.

Rob's quote about Russell being like a suicide bomber in the preview for next week was hilarious! I actually do like Rob a lot, but if he's enemies with Russell, then I'm forced to cheer against him. Rob's just a little too smug and sure of himself... yes, Russell is beyond smug when he's talking to the camera, but look at the way he manipulated Tyson. It wasn't as over the top obvious as Rob trying to goad Russell into playing his idol.

I'm curious whether someone betrayed the details of the 3 and 3 split vote. Coach? It would be just like him to talk about honor and all his nonsense about how he's going to vote the way he said, and then betray the information that essentially nullifies his own vote. That would explain Russell's appeal to him during the idol play. So there he is, possibly sealing his fate by giving away the idol, and he's already fighting for the next tribal council before the dust settles and while not being sure if he's still going to be around in 5 minutes.

When Russell calls the other players dummies, he's only telling the truth. You see it season after season, most of these people are completely clueless on how to win a game... and usually it's just the dumb outwitting the even dumber. It's kind of ridiculous to see the situations Russell has managed to get himself out of so far in these two seasons.

Tyson was being an idiot. There's really no serious scenario in which his vote switch made any sense. I give Russell props for getting it done, but the fact that it depended upon that level of stupidity is a little grating.

Russell seems to be putting all his eggs in the Coach basket before the merge. He keeps playing on that guy's strings during tribal council meetings, and he knows that getting rid of Tyson removes one of the major links to Rob's tribe.

Of course, Russell is majorly depending upon Parvati to bring him into some heroes/villains combo alliance, so I see that plan exploding in his face sooner or later. Those guys will never accept Russell.
