Now THIS is the poster I'd love to have on my wall. :adore: Sort of reminds me in a way of the classic TMP three-shot of 1979 where the classic Troika are slightly shadowed and mood-lit.

mariajl, have you been to FYDM yet? Just as a warning, the blog's name is NSFW, but the content is, and you'll find enough pretty pictures to last you a month!

That's where I get most of my pretty pictures... :) and here's another one. [Oh, and mariajl, the FYDM website will keep you busy - they're up to page 400 now! ]

IMHO, pictures from this timeframe is when I thought that Karl got to be more interesting (his facial features). More lean and mean, and not so baby-faced (not that there's anything wrong with that) + the "scruffy" looks so much better, too. Anyhoo, looking at him more mature makes me feel less "dirty" or "cougar". :alienblush:

    I have.
    It scares me.
I tend to need a private moment after viewing.

I am ALL ABOUT the older, scruffy look -- and the "007" look he has goin on these days.
The long hair and such doesn't do much for me.
Xena I can deal with the look... because there are some HOT scenes, and he has those serious f***-me eyes goin on.

    Anyone have oxygen?

    And some batteries?

I never come to this thread without them. And a defibrillator.

Oooo... some new prettyness at FYDM this morning.
I want to take this man's pic soooo badly... if for no other reason than so I can zoom in on his eyes on the raw image file.

(And, of course, there is the fact that photographers can legitimately say things like "Can I fuss with your hair a bit"... and "Let's just undo that top button" and "I think if we took your shirt off...." )

Is it true Karl was at the Oscar ceremony in L.A. last night and in the audience somewhere? Someone claimed to me that they thought they saw him somewhere in the crowd and that the camera got one or two quick glimpses of him in those general wide-shots of the different celebrities in attendance.

If he was there, he probably didn't walk the red carpet. Checked both Getty Images and Rex Features - nothing posted... :(

I didn't see him there either (or in any of the pics of red carpet or after-parties).

But that doesnt' mean he wasn't there. I mean, people who had nothing to do with nominated movies were there (and they werent' A or even B list folks).
I think it more likely he was either (a) on location and couldn't make it; or (b) there, but unnoticed by the paparazzi/press who have no idea who he is (since he looks so different in every role).

I have an old friend (now a Facebook friend) who attended because he was in a nominated movie... and we didn't see him anywhere. People on the FB page kept posting "jump up and down or wave so we can see you." None of us caught a glimpse anywhere. (He isn't someone the press or paparazzi would know, either.)

I wonder if they thought the same thing I did: At one point, out of the corner of my eye I got a very quick glimpse of the guy sitting next to Zoe Saldana and thought he looked like Karl. I'm sure they're friends, so it wouldn't be beyond the realm of possibility that she'd take him as her date.

But the next time they showed Zoe, it proved to be just some random good-looking guy, darn it all.

Karl's such a charmer and a chatty bloke, I don't think he'd be ignored by the press - there's bound to have been some people there who'd recognise him. I think he was probably watching at home with the wife and kids :)

It is nice to think that.
I kinda got the impression he isn't home much... so it would be nice to think he is with the family for a while. Especially the kids (cause, ya know... we have to hate the wife -- just because).

He was probably very happy when Star Trek won a oscar at home with his wife and kids wonder what Karl's reaction was like would he be interested in what Star Trek won the award for.
