Those of you who see me at GB as well as here...

I'm also deeply irritated by the use of "epic" that way. I mean, it's usually just for pizza or something, not Ben bloody Hur.

Another one young idiots seem to use is "good times" or "bad times". Usually invoked for some minor incident that can't possibly have any effect beyond that moment, defeating the notion of times. Like "I stubbed my toe - bad times!".

And don't get me started on people who say "lol" in real life, rather than actually laughing.

As for GB mods, I've also heard they're foolish.

I don't particularly mind that people use these words and phrases, this is just how language works and evolves. The English language is just a bastardised version of other languages anyway. Saying "Lol" in real life does sound insane though, dunno if I'd forgive that.

...and yes, the admins are still ignoring my requests for a reason.

My g/f works in an FE college so she tells me all the weird and wonderful things teenagers say these days. My favourites were bear sly and bear sick! (one means good the other bad, don't ask me which is which)

I'm sure the sorts of things I said while a teen in the 80's made as such sense to the grups! Words like ace and brill and wicked (no it wasn't just Ace)

Shamefully I do occasionally say things are fan-tastic with Eccleston like intonation ;)

Yeah, but if he goes they all have to. George Galloway, Ben Elton, Dappy from N-Dubz, Russell Howard...I couldn't get away with it.

ok I get most of those but Russell Howard? I'd obviously have to supply him with a parachute...

I don't think he's funny and find him very, very irritating about not being funny. Of course, that's just my view. A lot of people seem to think he's brilliant. Stephen Fry's nearly on the list as well. And I'm probably the only person in the world who feels like that.

You harm a hair on Fry's head, and the northbound Transit van will be making a detour to your house.

and you want to kill him for that?

I think he's hilarious. Stephen Fry mildly annoys me on occasion, but most of the time I think he's brill.

Actually I wouldn't worry about Dappy, he's bound to stick his fingers in a plug socket or mistake toilet cleaner for pop sooner or later...

I'd almost let Galloway live for the awsome comment to congress about meeting Saddam twice... the same number of times as Dick Cheney. Almost though, he's a detestable man.

Galloway's an utter prick who I find immensely entertaining while hating myself for it. His TalkSPORT show is often comedy gold and, worryingly, I agree with him much more often than not.

You mean sarcastically. lol.
not really sarcasm tends to come with a tone all of its own, at least it does for alot of people, for me it comes out rather flat like most of what I say according to people who have heard me speak.
