Walter Koenig's son is missing?

I hope Boner turns up safe and sound. I've been to some dark places myself and know what a powerful hold it can have on one. My best wishes to Walter and the rest of the Koenig family.
 
This sucks either way.

If something bad happened---it's awful.

If he's just hiding/laying low/keeping a low profile---he's being a total jerk. His parents are obviously loving concerned people despite the fact that's he's a middle aged man and if he's not aware what anguish he's putting them through--he must be crazy.

Still hope he's alive.

Walter's a jewell of a person--at least from the way he acts at conventions.

Not necessarily. Depression is an awful thing to live with, it affects every decision you make, changes perceptions, alters your thought processes. Depending on where he is and how severe the depression, he may not even be aware of passage of time. When in the grips of such a deep depression, nothing and nobody else matters, you can be wrapped up in a different world. If that's the case, he's not being a total jerk or selfish; he can't help it.

I'm hopeful he'll turn up safe.

Yeah I know. I saw a pic of him on yahoo.com and from what I saw, he looked visably shaken as well as extremely upset. When I first heard about Andrew Koenig, the first thought that popped into my head was: is he related to Walter Koenig or is that just a coincidence? I'm really sorry to hear of this as well and hope they find him soon! I may turn on CNN and see about the new details(if any) are about concerning him.

He also looks like he's aged 20 years suddenly. :( I hope this doesn't kill him.

QFT. Depression is a DISEASE. If he hasn't been taking meds or was in therapy of some sort, who knows what his thought processes are like? I've had chronic depression for most of my adult life- I have had days where I couldn't see anything but darkness, and couldn't even think about what it was doing to other people. I once reached a point where I wanted to just vanish. This could very well be what is happening with Andrew.

No. Someone in the midst of depression is so enveloped in it that they don't see what they're doing to others. They can't even handle their own thoughts/needs.
 
I don't know if Walter reads this, or if someone who knows him is doing so, but I hope it gets passed along to him that we are praying for him and his.

I can only hope that it is somewhat uplifting to his spirit to know that when it's dark inside, people outside are rooting for him and hoping for the best.
 
While he's reading the guestbook from his site, Walter doesn't have time to visit the various bb..... so, yes, someone who knows him is passing these on. The support means a lot to him and is bolstering his spirit in these tough times. On behalf of him, thank you everyone.

Walter's a tremendously cool guy, and his family shouldn't have to be dealing with things like this.
 
I hope against hope that this is some awful mistake, but that does not seem all that likely.

My sincere condolences to the Koenig family. This is just terrible news.
 
Horrible news for the family!

I hope Walter & Judy are strong.
Prayers are with them from thousands I'm sure.

You have to think of the peole you are leaving behind when you contemplate this---it's not just about you.
 
This is all very bad news. Im gonna say a prayer for Andrew, Walter and the rest of his family. God Bless them...
