Squiggy certainly doesn't strike me as the type to pull a stunt like this. To log a duel, find pictures of some hot pirate chick, just to post some boobs he knows will be pulled? Doesn't sound like the Squiggy I know.

His posting history should put him in the clear on this issue, and just chalk it up to something else (considering IP addresses can be manipulated though, granted, that would be a convoluted way to do things and to pick Squiggy. But it can happen.)

I don't see why duals are such a terrible thing either unless it becomes an outlet for problem posting.

I'll leave you guys to figure this out. Just try and comprehend why a poster who has (admittedly sadly) over 60,000 posts under his belt all of a sudden start a dual to 30 or so posts in fora he never posts in.

I mean, you could've just of easily have posted your very own man-tits. Why would you create this dual account and make 50 posts of you ascting like a flirty 20-something in several threads? I think you deserve more than the benifit of the doubt on this.

The whole thing with you using this Molly character as a dual seems convolouted. It makes more sense that it'd be a former perma'dposter manipulating his IP using any number of methods or is someone in your area riding on your WiFi. (Do you have WiFi? Is it secured? Even so, it can still be circumvented.)

I think some doubt needs to be granted.

I'm more troubled that having a dual can get one a perma.

I mean, sure, I served a 1-week ban for using a dual once (to circumvent a ban so I could browse TNZ, put not post.) Which is fine.

But a perma for a dual? Seems harsh.

I'd argue on Squig's behalf that there's a world of difference between having sa dual to skirt a ban and having a dual to be a whole other person, post in other forms, and to post pics of a hot pirate chick.

At the risk of upsetting the powers that be, I will respond to this comment as it is directed at me. The explanation did indeed set off much of the debate, focused mainly around the ban policy regarding duals, acknowledged to be inconsistent given how long a member has been around. Revealing that fact, which was not directly related to the topic being discussed (who was a dual of whom, which is still not clear to me) was a poor administrative move. Retroactively suggesting that it's all the result of the overreacting unwashed masses is a bit excessive.

Now in case it wasn't clear the first time, this topic is for posting pics, not discussing staff actions. Take it up with Bonz or the other admins in PM if you have a problem, but don't post anything else about it here.

Take whatever punitive measures that you feel necessary, but comments directed at me in the open will be replied to by me in similar fashion.
