Why is it okay to draft a load of young men and boys into a military, send them off to die for your ideals, but moan when people do esssentially the same thing for their ideals?

Because the "ideals" of the other people include eradicating all Jews, Blacks, Gypsies, Homosexuals and pretty much everyone else, as well as forcing the survivors to live in a dark, fearful, oppressive society where culture is criminalized and citizens have no Rights, and if you don't do what you can to defend your own ideals these other people will come and kill you.

Sometimes things really are that simple. Absolutes do exist. There are people who are genuinely good, and those who are evil. Trying to claim otherwise - that there is no such thing as good or evil - is meaningless.

People often forget that England went through a period of eradicating the Jews in the middle ages. In 1290, the Edict of Expulsion was drawn up, and all Jews were forcibly removed from this country. Their property was seized and sold, and in the process of expediency, some families were simply killed.

That law stood and was enforced for almost 400 years.

There is a comparison that can be made between that and what happened in Germany: Firstly, it was on a different order of scale, because populations were a lot less in those days. Secondly, the vast majority of people in England applauded the expulsion, because it finally resolved 200 years of conflict over usury.

The economics was as much a source of evil as the resolution.
