Men, what do you look for in a lady?

as long as they don't look like fucking Cleopatra

Except perhaps, apparently, for medical reasons:

The heavy eye make-up favoured by ancient Egyptians such as Cleopatra may have had medical as well as aesthetic benefits, French research suggests.

The study, published in the journal Analytical Chemistry, suggests it helped to protect against eye disease.

The key appears to be lead salts contained in the make-up.

At very low levels, salts produce nitric oxide, which boosts the immune system to fight off bacteria which can cause eye infection.

^That's my problem with a lot of women: I'm never going to be a boy again. I've been more of the man variety for a while now.

That's just a word.

Although, given my fondness of not-too-tall, beardless men....maybe my taste hasn't changed much since I've been a teenager. Only the demographic has shifted.

See? My point exactly? ;) Don't get me wrong, it's not that I'm bitter about it, it's just a fact of life that many women like more boyish, pretty men rather then manly, handsome men. Different strokes, and it's just an observation that how much I ever work out I'm not going to be pretty. Then again, I'd rather be handsome.

I don't actually like what most people consider pretty. Boyish, yes, but my "pretty" is most women's "wtf". :p

You do have a point, though.

It's more a sign of the times, really. Back in the day, rugged, hairy men were all the rage. :p

I think most men actually tend to prefer women with as little makeup as possible. If you're going to wear makeup, it should try to be as natural-looking as you can make it.

Exactly. Let it enhance natural features. You don't want to look like a clown...unless you are one, in which case, it's cool.

They still are. :bolian:

...as were rugged, hairy women. ;)

I am convinced that I need to start wearing more plaid. We used to be able to dress up for concerts where I used to work, and any time a country concert (or the rodeo) came into town, I would always wear plaid, and people always used to tell me I looked hot. Although, when I had my beard, people used to call me the Brawny Man...which for some reason they also found hot.

Positive Personality
Sense of Humor
Non-Smoker
Not a Heavy Drinker
Common Interests (tastes in music, movies, hobbies, etc.)
An intellectual
Attractive looking
Must want children

Young, dumb & loose.

I would of gone with young, dumb, and blond. But I'm gay and I don't like stupid guys! I don't mind looking at girls that have a nice tan slim body. :rommie:

I don't like stupid guys either. ;)

Serious though...I want a down to earth kinda girl, a woman with who has the ability to love and wants to be loved, a lady with a kind heart.

Turn offs would be doing drugs & being a total slut...like the last girl I dated.

Looks are not as important as the person inside...I would prefer her to have a womanly figure...not a twiggy.

Well, as I said, different strokes

Alas, it is true that I am a man in the wrong time age :(
Actually not a case in point. He's an athlete, they are exempt from many rules since they can kick a ball and similar things.

I bet you could kick a ball if you really put your mind to it. Whether you can kick it with skill or accuracy is another story...

It's the skill thing that does me in. Like I can drive a car, but I'm not a rally driver.

Wait, what was the subject again?

there is no occassion when men should wear any make-up other than camouflage face-paint. never has been, never will be.

oh, okay, like TV/movie make up fine. i mean cosmetics.
Or if a guy's been asked to do his Al Jolson imitation.

Not that there's much call for that these days.
I can't help but notice that some of these are very detailed!
Yes, I hope some of the posters don't think this is a "Personals" column.
Funny, when I was younger (and straight), I used to say, "I'd love to find a Christian woman who's virtuous and has high moral standards." After a while, I ditched the high standards and "goody two shoes" quality and ended up going out with a few "easy" girls. I figured I was looking for a girlfriend, not a wife. Tragically, the ones I was really attracted to were not into me at all, so forget them.
So is that why you're not straight anymore? ;)

I'm pretty easy.

A dreamer, extravagant, wicked sense of humor, a bit crazy, really enjoys themselves, maybe a bit mystical, fantastical.

All looks are negotiable.
