Actually, I believe I originally reg'd back in '99 or very early '00. I'm a digital fossil just like the rest of y'old fogies. Of course, my posting habits haven't changed much (obviously). Funny thing is, I have posted regularly since joining (and since post-massacre resurrection), but rarely more than a post or two a day. I don't even know what category that puts me in.

Oh hey, so you're like me. I've always thought I was the only one who'd been around a few years but lost their account anyway. Good to know, after all these years I'm.... I'm not alone. *sniff* :wah:

*cough*

Anyway, here's a question that gets pulled out every now and then, but I'll try it again: anyone know whatever happened to Kor? I miss his ability to liven-up any thread with a well-placed .

Wow. Talk about a walk down memory lane. I've been around since early 2001, but the original AlrikofValt account fell victim to the Christmas Massacre and was deleted. Funny thing was, I hadn't been on the boards much, so I didn't even know it happened until the following February. I remember using the sig line 'No longer a Fleet Captain' for a long time. Kind of took a break after Ent got cancelled, but the new movie sucked me right back in.
A big *smooch* if you're still around Auri. Good to see ya girl.

Now talking about folks I haven't seen post for a while, how about Mr Toast, Hope, Princess Whoopass, Dohlman, or Starbys.

 They both look so serious wearing their hat/antlers!

Picard: "Make it so Rike...what the hell is on your head?"
Riker: Have you looked in a mirror lately, sir?"

I still liked Big Blue's colours. This is nice, but it's... greyish. Y'know?
Big Blue's colors are available. I nearly stopped posting when the site changed after the Christmas Massacre. It was so gray and boring that I couldn't be bothered.

Now that the Big Blue skin is available, I post a whole lot more. It's like coming home.

The Christmas massacre was a hoax. I blame the Heenes :p

Really? Tell that to Alrik of Valt. :p

I also forgot to mention George and Cato. Oh, and the 'Troll Wars' were quite interesting....to say the least. ;)

:D Trollwars has always been the most interesting stuff around here.. I miss them.

Oh and George and Cato too come to think of it.

*smooches Alrik back* :) It is very good to see you again :)

I remember the early am porn attacks. and the whole thing about blocking people with an New Zealand ISP because of it.

Anyone else remember the whole starfish pic thing... I re-registered here after I lost my first account right on the back side of that whole thing. When there was a whole brouhaha about losing the ability to post images in sigs.

And you hardly ever see anyone complaining about the staff briefing room anymore. There used to always be someone bitching about it and some TK'er hacking into it (or sympathetic mod leaking it) which would then lead all the TNZ'ers over to TK to check the leaks for name drops.

Anyone know what happened to Barcode, CaptainDecker, DEAverification and some of the other mods from that time?

I have a hard time with Blue because it's hard to tell whether a thread has been read or not. The boldface doesn't show up as well as it does with Gray.

I have a hard time reading ANYTHING with the grey. The whole page just blends together.

The true sign of an oldie ;)
But i think i am one of the oldies, i registered when the 1st little news tid-bits of Enterprise where anounced in 2001...
I use the blue skin as well btw...

I don't know who any of you are!

And I actually mean it, those blasted Christmas user names are confounding.

Memories... how I wish I could erase them from my mind...

Vash mentioned upthread at how stressing being a Mod was and I have to totally agree! Has modding become less stressful or has the trolls-that-be become that trolls-that-was? I agree that going to bed stressed out was NOT FUN. I think I had many a long conversation with Verteron (what happened to him?) complaining about the Trolls (even though by pure luck I always tended to have the least amount of infomation obtained)

The best thread ever was BORU 05:31 in the DS9 fora. If those that don't remember the old software it was one of those fuck-up type threads the old software occasionally spurted out in that it was impossible to close (one had to fully go deep and delete the entire thing) and one heady Feburary Night in 2002 - many of us had fun :)

If y'all want to know what I have been up too.

I still havn't seen that JJ Abrams movie version of 'Star Trek'. Really no interest. May eventually see it... someday. Heard it contains Ewoks though...

In a week and a bit I turn 30. Crikey I cannot believe my youth is over.

I don't really watch television these days (the TV is gathering dust) and internet is almost non-existant as well - I maintain a dialup account which I log into... sometimes. I maintain my facebook & email from my iPhone. Only came on tonight since I had to do up birthday invitations and email them out.

So I have gone from a TV and Internet junkie... to... you'll never guess... Sporty Spice (in the sport playing way, not the pseudo-lesbian way)

I have started playing rugby union again after many years absense and I absolutely LOVE it. Granted I have discovered bruises in the most unlikely of places but it is all brilliant I have to say. Third division in the local comp, so hardly anything special but I love it.

I would seriously recommend to anybody looking to get fit, make new friends, be out in the sunshine and socialise - take up a team sport! It provides all of the above and much more! (/end public service accouncement)

I am actually planning to be over in Minneapolis in June 2010 for a tournament - so I will have to coordinate with various crews to do meetups - at the very least a SoCal/La Meetup!

I first signed up in 2006 after a long period of lurking but I'm definitely not an oldie

But after almost four years (this March), I've noticed a change in mood and flow of these threads and forums, not like those stories the oldies have mentioned.
