WoW - Musings & Discussion

i'm curious about SW:TOR... from what i've seen it looks like more of a single-player game that lets you party with people online. the massively multi-player part probably comes from some public hub towns you hang out in before heading off into an instanced quest...

will it kill WoW? no. what's the worse that could happen? TOR becomes the MMO with the larger player base... doesn't mean WoW is dead by any stretch of the imagination. let's also not forget that Cataclysm is rumored to launch sometime next year. if those launches are close together, i dont think TOR is going to come out as strong as it could have.

my last beef with TOR, has more to do with my beef with Bioware. when it comes to storytelling they are great. when it comes to gameplay, game balance and user-interface, they have A LOT of room for improvement.

it'll be interesting to see TOR. but i think Blizzard has their own game to focus on, not TOR.

There's something I'm trying to figure out. What's the average age of Horde players? Are they 9 year olds?
For fuck's sake, I can't believe lvl 80s camping and preventing lower levels from accomplishing minor PvP quests!!
Sheesh!

You're right, people who play Alliance are all mature and never corpse camp.

Is corpse camping lowbies stupid? Yes, but I'll say it again: if you don't like PvP, re-roll on a PvE server.

Gotta agree. Dont play PVP and bitch about it.

I got tired of jerks like that, so i moved to a PVE. Ive never looked back. If I want PVP, i can do a BG.

But I am on a PvE server!!! But still, lvl 80s attacking lvl 58/60 is highly immature! I agree, one faction is not better than the other, but killing quest givers is dumb!

Oh please, it's (presence of idiots) part of the game !
I've even known a 80 ally who wanted to fight my lvl 2 new born priest in the starter zone !

I'll admit that once in a blue moon, I'll go to South Shore and wipe the place out.

Though I think the last time I did that, it was nearly a year ago.

I've done it much more recently. I also kill any Alliance flight paths I happen to come across in my travels as a matter of habit due to the number of times I was stuck in Crossroads when I was a lowbie because the FM there was always dead.

Also, every time we get a hankering to kill Kazzak we swing through Honor Hold and level the place and anyone who happens to be near it.

It's a lot of fun as a level 80 in really good gear to fight 8-10 level 60-70 characters at once while they're grave yard zerging you. They don't stand a chance but they don't give up and eventually they call in or log over to their 80s and the realy fun begins.

So you're admitting being an asshole on WoW?

EDIT: Nevermind. Whatever floats your boat...

Yeah, you're probably better off editing whatever drivel you wrote, Carebear.

Poor you, someone rubbed you the wrong way playing WoW.

A video game. Don't take it so personally.

I don't do it to be an asshole, I do it because it's fun and it's part of the game.

"Oh noes! I have to run back to my dead body and it doesn't cost me a dime!"

Who cares?

How would you feel if you went to a concert and some jackass kept unplugging the band's sound system?

How you feel if you went to the bar and someone kept knocking over your drink?

How would you feel if you were at a Chinese buffet and someone kept kicking the tray out of your hand as you're walking back to your table?

Yeah, WoW is real fun when some dillrod is slaughtering the quest givers.

"Part of the game" my ass! People like you are a big reason why I gave this game up.

If I had edited my post, Ford, I would have deleted "asshole"... I cooled down that's it. So no, this Carebear doesn't drivel. Just try walking in my shoes just for a moment, will you?
I've been playing for some time now. And the worst part of WoW, to me, is re-questing. Quests you've done numeros times just because you reroll and want to try something else. Guess what? I want to take on Arthas when he's available. I had to go back to an old reroll I started when BC came out.
I don't have a tank so that one was perfect. But leveling is so fucking long! I was just longing to return to Outland and finally buy a flying mount. I initially thought I would stay a couple of hours in Honor Hold and that's it but no. Childish horde players decided to take Honor Hold. But not once. Not twice. But a whole fucking week long! Constantly coming again and again and again. It took its toll on me. I usually think I'm an easy going kind of guy. But my patience really wore out. A whole fucking week! Curiously the same week when kids are on holidays. Hence my initial post stands: nine year olds.
Fuck!

if you're looking to level, and don't want to quest, try running BGs or using the new Dungeon finder and run some instances.

Using the dungeon finder, i leveled a toon from 46 to 59 in a week. Its the best addition to the game... ever.

I was lvl 58 then, tell me, what am I supposed to do in Northrend at level 58 again?
Jeez...
And my bad, I thought the dungeon finder was for lvl 80s, heroic mode.

Yeah, I tried some BG leveling for the first time: a lot of fun and good break from the grinding. I think I am going to do it more on future alts.
