2000 - 2009 in music

This gets my vote for song of the decade.

Truly spectacular.

:techman:

In 2005, during the Deadwings tour, I decided to buy the album and a ticket (the last one available  ) only one day before the concert . I discovered the song live and I couldn't stop playing it for days after

Have you seen the DVD from that tour? It's called Arriving Somewhere....and it was recorded in Chicago. The version they play that night peels the paint off the walls.

You can (or at least you could previously) download the soundtrack from their website for about $9.00. I listen to that concert in my car all the time.

Deadwing is one of my albums of the decade, along with every other PT album released this decade, of course! And that DVD is very good indeed. I play it all the time. Highly recommended.

I don't have this DVD (there is too much music to buy and I can't afford to buy everything, life is so unfair ;) ) but now I know it's a must have ;)

You can pick it up for about $20.00. It's well worth your hard-earned cash. I checked their website, and you can still download the soundtrack for about $10.00 (I don't know the conversion rate....)

I've just ordered it myself.

Next year should see the Fear of a Blank Planet tour DVD. Good start to the 10s!

You won't be disappointed!

And if I were you, I'd start saving my pennies....

PT at Royal Albert Hall

Porcupine Tree will play 2 special shows to close the Incident tour cycle, one in the UK and one in the US. The UK show is now confirmed to take place at the Royal Albert Hall in London on 14th October 2010. These shows will be evening-with concerts with PT playing an extended set - although we can't tell you exactly what the evening will hold at this moment, the band are planning some very special things that will make these 2 shows unique experiences for everyone.

Tickets for the Royal Albert Hall show will be on sale from 29th December, but please note that the bands are also putting together a special VIP package for Residents of a Blank Planet members - more news on this soon, as well as confirmation of date and location of the US show.

I'm looking forward to seeing where the US show will be. Probably New York with my luck. Still, there'll be a second leg to The Incident tour, which is very cool.

Hum...
London is not very far from Paris...and I always wanted to see a concert abroad.
I might go, it's very tempting :)

Just don't use Eurostar or BA if you actually want to get there.

^Wish I could be there! Unfortunately, i'm on the other side of the Blank Planet.

As it stands, I really hope to see them when they take the Incident tour to Melbourne next February.
