Openly Straight?

Can one be openly straight?

I say this because in this day in age many straight people...mostly men are thought of as being gay by other straight people...this has happen to me...ofcourse no gay person has ever thought I was gay. Personally I don't see why other straight people make it their business to determine weather or not someone is gay or straight but that is a different issue.

I am openly staright...deal with it! :guffaw:

Lots of people assume I'm gay for whatever reason. I have no idea why, nor do I know why they're trying to attach a sexual preference to me in the first place.

I am openly straight.

I don't think I know anyone who cares either way. And I'm not about to enlighten most of them. They can live with the mystery.

I don't know what other straight guys in public think, but there are plenty of times when gay men haven't been sure of me so they test out the waters with me to see if I'll make a move to let them know if I'm gay.

I always assumed that if I were gay, I would know the secret handshake to reveal my gayness to them, but since I'm not, I don't know it.

At least, I hope that's how it all works, otherwise I'd hate to think I'm being a flirt and teasing them only to not make the move.

Oh, and more stuff needs to have secret handshakes. That would be fun.

I really want people to start wearing nametags with their sexual preference and marital status on them in big bold letters.

Nah, sounds too last-century. These days it's all about implanting encoded computer chips just below the skin, and scanning them with iphones or whatever.

I really don't want to have to do that... well maybe the married part would be a good idea. I have always felt like I was like everyone else. Who I prefer sexually just happens to be a little different than the norm. However, everyone else thinks differently. Instead of a person who likes the color blue, hates dishes left in the sink and works as an artist for a living, I am just "The Gay Guy". Everything else is wiped away in favor of a this myopic label that does very little to describe who I actually am. To most everyone else, I should only wear designer clothes, know exactly what a women should do with her hair and be effeminate when I am none of those things. I don't want to be the "Gay Best Friend" or "the guy who makes you fabulous". I want to be AstroSmurf, the guy who wears jeans and boots with a ratty t-shirt, likes watching hockey and movies where shit blows up.

I say let people be who they are, gay or straight, and the rest be damned. None of it really matters, as long as you are happy.

I mostly just want gay guys to stop hitting on me (all the fucking time!), and I want to know which girls are straight and single.

^ Men are pigs RoJo. At least they aren't grabbing you though. That is how I used to spend my Saturday nights. Awful.

I imagine a great deal of people don't know I'm gay or bi, though I suspect some of them do. But in any case, I very much doubt that my sexual orientation or anyone else's has ever been the topic of people's conversations. The truth is, most people don't give a shit one way or the other.

Oh, and these name tags should be worn on your butt, since that's where everyone looks anyway.
This might be one of the reasons people think I'm not as straight as I could be...

I look at girls' faces before anything else.

Think about it though, who wants to wear a nametag on their face? Plus. let's say you wear them on your chest, so you're talking to the girl, then, all of a sudden you avert your eyes downwards to look at her nametag and all she sees is you breaking eye contact to stare at her tits.

This way, if it's on people's butts, they can't see you as you strain to read said nametag.
