The Scarlet Witch

Jean Grey seems to have been handled pretty well. It seems the mutant women faired better than their human counterparts.

Susan was pretty bad and Fantastic was an awful, stereotypical husband. He's not a stereotype now but he's still an awful husband.

^The latest Previews details the first issue of The Mighty Avengers crossover with the Siege event, and it claims that within we will see "The craziest thing Hank Pym has ever done (And for Hank Pym that's saying a lot)."

I'm still slightly weirded out by his taking the name "Wasp." :wtf:

Well, his specialty is biochemistry. So probably he comes up with some synthetic hormones to accelerate a sex change in order to make his tribute to Jan complete.

I don't mind, as long as he has huge knockers and the costume is skin tight and/or low cut.

I guess it's just a matter of time until he sleeps with Tony Stark.

There was that cold night in the Latverian Alps, but both agreed never to speak of it.

On the bright side, I think that currently she is still depowered and hopefully they can avoid the shennenigans with her powers again.

My understanding is that she DOES have her powers, but absolutely refuses to use them, and has basically isolated herself from the rest of the "spandex set". Last I heard, she was somewhere in Europe (probably with the Gypsies).

Gojirob - that is a hilarious website!

Some of my faves on it include : Wild Mass Guessing, It Just Bugs Me, Shout Out, and Hey Its That Voice. Best part is, you can find examples of your faves or pet peeves that you never dreamed of. If you like finale scenes of 'Its Just Been Revoked' from Lethal Weapon 2, you can find them, the ones that inspired them, and the ones inspired by them. Take Oracle. She's under so many listings for so many reasons, you could spend a week just looking them over, and another correcting or adding to those refs.

As for Wanda, she was better off as Django's daughter than Eric's. Personally, if Crystal had any sense, she'd get with Johnny and claim that Luna was his, and then have Reed fudge the DNA. Having our mutant twins be Magneto's has led to nothing but misery and convoluted storylines--more convoluted.

One thing I've wondered about Wanda is if she wants children that bad, why doesn't she just go along to a sperm clinic?

I know it's not politically correct to say this, but most women who want children don't want to be single mothers whose children will never know their father, or even who he is.

Having children is a part of having a home and family.

Why are Marvel writers always doing such awful things to this poor character?

Ever read Women in Refrigerators by Gail Simone?

Sometimes bad people kill women.

I know we'd all love to live in a world where every woman is an invulnerable powerhouse, master of all martial arts, skilled in all known fields of human endeavour, who never fails at anything and is admired by both men and women for her flawless physical beauty and magnificent soul - basically an average episode of Dollhouse - but sometimes bad people still kill women.

As for Wanda's desire to have children - screw that! It would take a man with the absolute lowest self-esteem in the entire galaxy to want to actually father a child with her. She's guilty of a worse crime against humanity than even her father could imagine.

Enough about the headgear!
