Good Trips, Bad Trips

^^ Holy Mackerel. :(

The morning after I saw the doctor, I took two Codeine tabs...and then watched TV. I was having the time of my life for about 2 hours, then my mother came in the room and turned the TV on. :D
Sounds like the ending to a Ray Bradbury story: "And then some idiot turned on the TV." :rommie:

mmmmmm, vicodin,

I've had 3 surgeries since July 2007 - two microfracture procedures on the same knee and one shoulder decompression and labral repair.

After each one, I received vicodin and I can agree that it's good stuff. I remember after the first knee surgery, I took some before I went to sleep the second night and didn't wake up to take some on schedule. Big mistake. My knee hurt so bad that morning... I took 2 and within 20 minutes I felt a nice warmth in my chest that soon spread to my extremities and everything was shiny.

Vicodin is good stuff.

Put a couple, three beers on top of it, and you have a winning combination.

:techman:

Rookie. You've got to go with the alliteration - vicodin and vodka. That's the winning combination.

Interesting combination.

And I've never understood Demerol. That junk just does not work for me.

Me? I cannot imagine how anyone could use prescription medication in a way other than prescribed. :borg:

(and if you believe that, I've got some 'land in Florida' I'll sell ya 'fer cheap).

^^ No effect at all, or a bad reaction?

Absolute zero. Even doubling the dosage, the only result was a loopy me that was still in a massive amount of pain.

Only thing that helped the pain was following it with 2 prescription strength tylenol. In a fit of loopyness after that, I drove back to the surgical center...

Oh, I'm using them as prescribed.

Orally.

:rommie:

Thanks very much for that series of mental pictures I just had of you trying to use them otherwise.:p

You're not the only one. :p
