Ayel's gun is gone!

I never noticed this mistake.

And you know what ? I'm glad I'm not that observant

Yeah, I noticed it on one of my first few showings. It actually got really annoying by the 11th time I watched it.

That, and the fact that Kirk seems to be holding the wrong weapon in the first scene after Spock takes off in the Jellyfish (when Kirk is walking through the tunnel).

It helps for me. I've only seen it 3 times, and I still have no idea what you people are talking about!

Seriously, though, how do you not get bored out of your mind after the fourth or fifth time?

To be frank, I never even noticed the gun discrepancy before now.

NO clue! That's how deep into the movie I got at times!

Last night was my 22nd time (21 in the theater), and it was fascinating. I put it on my iPod and watched a few minutes while I waited for Chinese take-out at lunch time today. Trek is like an old friend to me that I've had 40-some years. I don't get tired of it; it feels good.

Yeah, I can watch Trek every day...but not the exact same movie or episode!

I've watched TOS episodes a zillion times; I'm not even close to that on the movie.

In early 1996 I watched my then all-new VHS copy of GENERATIONS once a day for about a week straight if not moreso. I loved the movie so much back then I'd rewind the tape and watch it all over again.

I have had my DVD for a month now, but I also get so into the movie I forget to look for those little details I read about here.

Well, my brain doesn't let me do that.
RoJoHen, my brain must work like yours. As long as I have had the DVD, and love the movie, I just cannot watch it that many times back to back. My tired old brain needs a break to refresh itself.:rommie:

Too much?

I'm glad I don't notice half the things some of you pick up on around here--think I'll stay away from threads like this one.

While we're on the subject of changes for the DVD...

I thought I remember in the theater Spock saying "where no MAN has gone before" at the end but on the DVD he says "where no ONE has gone before". Did they change that too or did I just remember it wrong?

It's kind of nitpicky but if you watch why Ayel is coming to Kirk he has a bigger gun, then it disappears the next time they show him.

I'm pretty sure it was "no one" in the theater, as well. I remember more than one thread discussing that particular wording and the question of why it should or should not have been "no man".
