And in any case, would Telford care? I mean, what could Young really do about it? Telford could get his piece of ass, at least once, and then Young could flip out and ask for a new body for all future visits. But there's nothing to stop Telford from doing it the first time.

I have to say, I liked this episode a lot. The stones previously looked like a cheap plot device, but here they were used to good effect--twisting the knife, especially in Young's case. They're far from home, but still in contact, and it's driving him crazy. It would be nice if they'd tone down the stereotypical nerd nonsense with Eli, though. Fat, lazy, inept with women, permanently relegated to the "friend zone"... no thanks. I hope they get some development out of him.

I'd like to see Chloe become more useful, too. She can't spend the whole series whining about how she can't live up to her father.

Rush is an ass. I think this was the first time we had a really blatant case of him fucking things up to serve his own ends. Now, it's at least clearer why he's so paranoid about getting back to Earth. He'd be off the ship and lose his golden opportunity to make a mark on history. And that seems to be what it's all about for him: going down in history as the guy who brought Destiny home, and cataloged all the Ancient wonders on it.

I know some find the stone communication scientifically iffy, but it is hardly without precedent in sci-fi. They're basically just ansibles. So, I could buy the concept at face value. My only objection was that they'd be used for cheap drama. Here, at least, they were used to good effect.

Overall, this was a good episode--possibly the best of the series so far. I look forward to the next one. I would just hate to see the characters stagnate and be the same people at the end of the season that they were at the start.

Most unrealistic moment: OIC chick (Ms. Na) refusing a hot dog. She's been eating mush for weeks. Does anyone think she'd turn down REAL food with REAL flavor? Especially something like a hot dog?

lol..Well, she's not in her own body, so while you may momentarily experience how great it is to eat regular food and feel full, that sensation goes away once you return to your junk food starved body.

I enjoyed this episode. I particularly liked the idea of how to get the Destiny "crew" home by using a sun again, even if it wouldn't have worked. But it's the little things like Telford showing us how much of an ass he really is by almost immediately putting Greer back in holding that tell me what a great show this is.

Good episode except for the annoying Chloe/Eli bit. Was thinking what if the word got out around the Homeworld base that you can get some if you just go round Col Youngs house and pretend to be him

And because it is good drama it will get out sooner or later.. and maybe settled with a good old asskicking (assuming they'll meet face to face or switched face).

Good episode.. much personal drama and a few funny moments (the F-word.. been on that end too and it sucks and Telford getting some accidental nookie ).

I don't get how people now bitch about the direction of SGU with its more "serious" approach and years before harped on Stargate in general for being too light and shallow.

I guess you really can't satisfy everybody.

See I would think Rush would want everyone off the ship. Have it all to himself. Then again I'm partial the theory the ship is, or at least HE thinks it is, linked to him some how.

Well cosidering Rush made a valid point about the ship being old and its conduits possibly being damaged might cause the whole ship to blow up if they recklessly try the plan without checking first added to the one they tested blowing up I would probably lean toward they were worried about the ship being destroyed with them on it while Telford and the other two could just run back to Earth and not die.

I certainly love all the interactions and certain people dont like others and the power struggle. Its all certainly starting to weave itself into a damn interesting story with lots of great possibilities. Maybe next time Col Young and La Bamba switch bodies Col young should beat the shit out if his body then give it back to him...

Rush has to be telling the truth when he says the plan won't work. If he's lying, then Young will eventually find out, try the plan again, and walk back home through the gate. Series over. Not to mention they'll either lock Rush up, kick him off the ship, or kill him. Top-billed character over. Neither of those things are ever going to happen.

And I still don't think they're using the body swap stones in the right way. TJ has an injured man who she can only say will probably make it. Why don't they swap her out for an M.D. and make sure he gets the best care? Why isn't she spending a lot of time swapping back to Earth in order to get further medical training?

Then there's Chloe. She whines about being useless, but what exactly is she going to do? She's not a scientist, and she has no military training. Unless she's plugged into the body swap stones getting needed training on Earth, there's little she can practically step up and do. And speaking of training, it seems like a good idea for everyone to go back to Earth and work on their marksmanship. They're not going to conserve any ammo (or be able to properly defend the ship) if they all get lax with their weapons.

After his Xanatos Gambit this week, Rush is now my favorite character on the show. I don't know why the writers keep shoehorning in the "we can't trust him angle;" he's far more interesting IMO as a reclusive yet intelligent man who does what he feels he has to for people to survive. That plus Harvey's comments makes the ending doubly annoying.

Oh, if the writers threw out the silly "we can't trust him angle," Rush would easily be my favorite character on the series. Hopoefully they wise up sooner rather than later.

Call it a character moment. As an older woman, compared to the rest of the characters, she refused to abuse the body of her host as the other characters did. I wouldn't be surprised if down the line she turns up to be a rape victim or something along those lines.

"Abuse the body"? I'm talking about saying yes to a HOT DOG. Not a "hot dog."
