Not nominating one of the best movies of the decade - "The Dark Knight" for Best Picture was a shameless and entirely appalling move by the Academy, IMHO.
Especially considering the fact that they made an exception back in '04 with "Return of the King," IMO the weakest part of the trilogy (TTT would have deserved it, though).
But for me, the Academy lost all credibility with robbing "Brokeback Mountain" and giving Best Picture to the utterly forgettable "Crash." I mean, even the most conservative homophobe should concede that Ang Lee made a f***ing classic!
