Well, at least this place is calmer than GB

I've regained my appreciation for it somewhat after perusing the threads on how hot Deborah Watling was and the Amy's Admirers pages...

Watch your frakking mouths, you motherfrakkers!

You know, that's the first time I used frak in that context

I overheard it being used in a rant yesterday. I heard a very serious and rag filled "Just answer the fraking question." 'twas beautiful.

The mods/admin there are very anal about copyrighted stuff and they suck up to the BBC something chronic. IN Outpost Gallifrey I posted a youtube video of a TV commercial for a soap powder that featured Nicola Bryant.....and one of the Mods banned me for 24 hours!!!!

The same mods/admin are running Gallifrey Base....badly./QUOTE]

Thats insane :wtf:

Wha the fook?

(fake scottish accent)
Very bad, fake northern accent more likely.

Awae Tae Fuck or Get Tae Fuck would be more authentic

The beauty of the Glasweigan accent is that you don't need to add fuck. 'Get tae' works just as well on it's own ;)

On the OG/GB... from what I've seen and heard, it was more a place for complaining and no one could do anything good. If they weren't complaining about everything, they were fanwanking. Both killing the joy and convincing me to log in rarely.

[Braga episodes list cut - check earleir in thread if needed!]
I had to ask...

I do actually really like a lot of those episodes.

I interviewed Braga for the release of First Contact, but also asked about other things, and he came as close as he could to admitting that on Voyager a lot of the episodes he had co-credit for were scripts where someone else had written a 'character' storyline and he had to come up with an 'endanger the script with technobabble' frame for it. If you bear that in mind, it's often easy to see which scripts he was doing because he had an interesting idea, and which were chores to be got out of the way.

I seriously hate the use of the word "frak" outside of the fictional setting it was invented for.

If you mean fuck, then say fuck. Cunts.

Can't get into GB without registering, therefore not bothering.
That's a good point. What's wrong with letting people see what your boards are like, to give them an idea of what they're getting into? And leave things like the spoiler discussion boards visible only to registered users.

Of course, the reason probably has to do with server load. If anyone and their mother can look at the board without registering, then there's more pages being served, which means the server goes creaky faster. For that reason, OG had the "peak hours" limitations.

Might also be a response to the tabloid's habit of hawking any old nonsense speculation at OG as "exclusive scoops" regarding the series.

Some of them also seem to hate with a passion anyone who buys a cheap doctor who action figure then sells it for more money on ebay.

As I said in the other thread, so long as they don't use Serpentine as the font, it should be fine.

Serpentine is way over-used. Star Trek has used it. Star Wars has used it. Babylon 5 has used it. Death to Serpentine!

I can exclusively reveal that it will be Comic Sans.
