The Trek Toy Thread- what does YOUR inner Trekkie child own?

My list is bigger than I might like to admit at times. I have been an avid collector for many years. I have lots of mass produced stuff that I realize is mostly junk but I still like, a nice collection of high-end TOS replica props and I small number of screenused items I purchased through IAW. I knew that those auctions were a once in a lifetime chance, so I went for it despite the crazy prices.

Although I have a few things from way back in the day, there are a lot of things that never made it to my collection in the present for one reason or another. However, I really wish I still had the old McDonald's happy meal boxes during the TMP promotions.

I had one of those too. Mine had a brief comic strip on the back featuring the Episilon Nine scene...naturally mom threw it away the next day.

My coolest Trek toy? Probably this:

Sweet! Would love to see pics of the auction items.

OMG. I haven't seen that game since the 80's, but I still have Nimoy's voice in my head: "Entering Sector Nine..point...Five....."

You, Sir, are a gentleman and a Scholar. And a Cool Dad(tm):bolian:

No Trek toys here, though I have a Galaxy-class kit I want to build this winter. If I came across an old Gauntlet game I'd be sorely tempted.

Thanks, and I think so too. Then again, I'm biased :)

Don't forget Scotty! "Damage repaired, sir."

Let's hope my daughters still think that when they're teenagers. :D

^ It was released in 1983. I played it all the time when it was new (in both the stand-up and sit-down versions...the latter of which remains my Trek Holy Grail). The cabinet art in particular draws from STII -- Regula I-style space station, barren moon, the nebula, etc. -- but its "storyline" is pretty much a "training simulation" for cadets that roughly translates to "SHOOT 'EM UP!!!!"

I bought it 11 or 12 years ago, and I've babied it since then. I've had it serviced once or twice by a friend who knows what they're doing, and only turn it on when I want to play it (which isn't as often as when I first got it), so it still works just fine. :)

Let's see... I have a decent amount of Trek toys...

- around 220 Playmates 4.5" action figures, including TOS figures, TNG figures (including Generations figures), DS9 figures, and Voyager figures. I even have a all but one of the rare Starfleet Command TNG figures(The only 4.5" TNG figures wearing the FC/DS9 style uniforms).
- 6 Playmates 6" action figures
- 2 Art Asylum 12" action figures
- Playmates TNG Transporter playset (way cooler than the ST09 transporter :p)
- Playmates TNG Enterprise-D Bridge playset
- Playmates TNG Enterprise-D Engineering
- Playmates Enterprise-D
- Art Asylum Enterprise-D
- Art Asylum Enterprise-E
- around 30 micromachines Star Trek ships
- The complete set of 11 Furuta Vol 2 ships
- The complete set of 8 Konami Vol 1 ships
- 2 of the F-Toys Vol 1 ships
- 2 of the Furuta Vol 3 ships
- MegaBlocks Enterprise-D with Captain Picard minifigure
- Custom made EMH, Captain Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Vice Admiral Janeway, and Admiral Owen Paris LEGO minifigures
- 48 generic custom made FC/DS9 style uniform LEGO minifigures of ranks Ensign, Lt J.G., Lt, Lt Cmdr, Cmdr, and Captain across all department colors
- 8 generic custom made FC/DS9 style uniform LEGO minifigures of the 5 Admiral ranks
- Playmates TNG Tricorder
- Playmates Voyager style communicator
- Playmates Innerspace TNG phaser playset
- Playmates Innerspace Borg head playset
- Playmates Innerspace Klingon head playset
- Playmates Innerspace Enterprise-D playset
- Resin Star Trek Voyager style commbadge
- Resin Mobile Holo-emitter
- Complete set of TNG/DS9/VOY pips (4 solid gold, one hollow) to make any rank from Ensign to Captain
- TNG season 6-7 Admiral pips (just the ones for the actual rank of Admiral)
- Metal TNG style commbadge pin
- Playmates TOS surgical equipment (Laser scalpel and hand scanner)

It's just a big bunch of random things. I tend to lean towards trying to get the Playmates 4.5" figures and any model ships.

I wish AA would give us a real idea of when the Ent-B/Exc are coming out... I would be happy with even a quarter right now. lol

Well I have seen third and fourth quarter for 2009. Missed those!

I'd so want the B and the Excelsior... that was one of my favorite federation ship classes... I hope the paint job on the B isn't too ridiculous a shade of blue...
