Royal Fizzbin,

have you done much diorama work? i'd love to see more pics if you have.

I haven't really. The photos were actually for a doll photo contest that my G/F mods, and I decided to enter (even though I was the only male entrant and the only male doll). My entries revolved around Kirk, and these were the other rounds (you'll notice my photo-taking was not as good early on).

r1james2009.jpg

I just kind of had to make up the birth date.

r2james2009.jpg

She sewed me the tunic a while back.

She also let me borrow one of her dolls for this one. I wanted to use a 12" Uhura but they aren't out yet.

I'd like to do more work, maybe a set of photo-stories, but finding the time for that is the hard part. Plus I'd like to get the whole crew before I start on that.

^ Royal Fizzbin, thanks for posting them! They are fun! I like what you did with the backdrop for the bridge. That purple haired doll reminds me of a blythe or one of those 50s/60s Eames dolls. Out of curiosity, what doll board does your gf mod? I belong to only 1 doll board but do sometimes lurk on the other ones.

That tunic she made is awesome!

If you'd rather not say, you could PM me. I'm curious as to how small this world really is!

I have some tribbles. And a talking Q action figure. And several Hallmark ornaments, including my favorite, a Romulan Warbird, which I have right here in my office.

I have the Romulan Warbird Hallmark ornament hanging in my cubicle at work, too. My boss commented on it the other day. She thought it was cool, and we had a brief discussion on how pretty Romulan ships are. :rommie:

I have a Klingon Bird of Prey (the hallmark one. great detail) hanging from my rearview mirror. It helps when i feel road rage coming on.:klingon:

Here are a couple of links that i have saved that show some amazing dioramas. They are not Trek dioramas, but they are pretty amazing...for anyone who wants to do some with their ST figures. What i like about these sites is the amazing detail work that goes into the dioramas...and they help jumpstart some great ideas:

SEAN: i LOVE your Mego figures...you have a couple in there that i'd kill for!

Those doll scenes are really amazing! Some very creative stuff there. I liked the little stories in the Roville one.

Thanks! The Megos you see there have all been recently re-released. I bought them online through action figure sites and Amazon. You may even want to check eBay for them, as they might be had for a good deal.

What the hey, Ill join in, but my collection pales to alot of what Ive seen here.
-A few of the Playmates 90s action figures (including a Geordi with removable visor)
-All of the Playmates ships from the 90's, save the repackaged ones
-Playmates original series crew on the Bridge mockup
-Playmates TOS Phaser, Tricorder, Communicator, Laser Pistol
-playmates TNG Phaser, Tricorder, Communicator (which is huge and awful looking)
-AA phaser, Medical Tricorder, and Communicator
-Galoob Diecast Enterprise D
-AA TOS Enterprise from the Cage, WNHGB, and Series
-AA Wrath of Khan Enterprise
-Corgi Diecast Enterprise 1701
-Johnny Lightning Star Trek ships (all waves)
and I think thats about it.

Not to mention I got some foam board and rubber cement and had fun with my nu12" figures:

Wow, I love your set-up there. Very nicely done. It would be cool if DST did something like that so I had more than just display bases and Captain's chairs to display my figures. A background would be sweet. Randi, is that a Playmates Kira in the background of one of your pictures? I love that uniform. It's too bad DST wouldn't make a figure of her in it. :(

Randi,

Wow, that's pretty amazing. I can't say I'd spend *that* much time on dioramas/sets for a toy photo. At some point I'm sick of working on all that stuff and I just want to tell the story.:p

FYI, the other doll in my third picture above is a Pullip.

ROYAL FIZZBIN: A Pullip! Yes! *smacking head*
Yeah, that autopsy room one (and really, all of them) are so incredibly detailed. She does alot of kitbashing, which is one of the reasons i like to check her site out. Its great for ideas.

i do some diorama work,, but havent done that much in ST themes...not yet anyway. I am waiting for some divine inspiration. I have to say, your bridge pics are starting to make me think about working on one again.

i did this one a while back. I kinda thought of it as a shore leave party...with the captain (in the maroon) giving his ensign tips on how to pick up a woman.

TOO MUCH FUN; Yes, that is Kira. And, to be honest, i'd be happy to send her off to you (as a gift from me) as honestly, i cant stand Kira. PM me if you'd like her.

USS KONGO, thanks for letting me know about the new Mego figures. I would love an Andorian and the other aliens that i am missing. I found the Cheron at a yard sale along with a bunch of other mego figures. i had to buy the lot just to get the cheron...sold the rest off on ebay. i was ecstatic when i found him.

I have a lot of the Playmates TNG, DS9, Voy, run, as well as the OS boxed set, autographed by Stonn and the love interest from Mirror, Mirror. I also have the Playmates TNG bridge.

My daughter and I have been collecting the figures from the new movie and are working on assembling the bridge. We're looking forward to wave 2 coming out. It's our "project."
