Nardpuncher
Rear Admiral
There are quite a few lines in movies/TV that may have been smile or chuckle worthy once, but have overstayed their welcome.
Mine are:
Mine are:
- "I have 2 words for you..." then the guy says 3 words, then some one else points out that what the guy said was 3 words.
- Someone does something stupid or dangerous, another character asks in shock "Did you just (stupid thing)?!?!!?" and the first guy says "....um....no?" sheepishly. Homer did it more than once.
- Refering to a dangerous weapon (aren't they all?) in a very slow, stilted fashion to your enemy. "You now have a 5.56mm belt-fed 200 round fully automatic weapon pointed at your head." Then the clincher: "...any questions?"
- When someone, be it good guy or bad guy...sees some of the enemy approaching and says "We got company!" The facetiousness of that phrase has completely vanished after it's been used for 50 years or whatnot.
