The shorter one is the midget. The uglier one is the ugly one... this is not hard people.

Who were we talking about again? Sylar and the rabbit?

One's short and one is um not traditionally handsome. Works for me.

Also liked the Sylar reverse mind control trick, though I should've seen it coming a mile away.

You're off the hook because the "logic" is too questionable to be able to predict what Sylar can and can't do.

HeadSylar = Matt's psyche, that means Matt's id screwed himself over in order to sabotage his attempt at morality. Who could predict he'd be that frakked up?

HeadSylar = actual Sylar, is it reasonable that he'd have any powers at all?

I voted Average. It had some good parts, and then it had a lot of chess-piece moving (specifically, the stuff with Peter and Samuel.) I just kind of wish they'd get on with it.

Still no sign of Mohinder, though, so maybe I lucked out this season.

The cello improv was easily the best part of the episode. It's been a while since we actually got to see someone express wonder at their own abilities. Everyone else has just kind of slipped into a rut. "Wow, I have superpowers. Big whoop." That might make for realism but it's boring as shit, dramatically.

If superpowers aren't interesting, don't make a show about people with powers!

I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop and the shit to hit the fan. And I hope they can give us a payoff that will be worth the buildup, and not yet another letdown like every other volume has had.

I find Gretchen annoying because it's the same character she played in Californication but her secret is now knowing Claire's power instead of having sex with Hank. Plus she plays it with that same exact smirking smarminess.

My fix for Hiro is to split him from Ando, I'd like to see Ando on some adventure of his own that would have to somehow involve a female out of his league and Hiro would have to find his own path.

The villain does seem almost too interesting for the show he's on, like they've come up with this intriguing guy but they know what to do with him exactly.

HeadSylar is working for me as a storyline and makes for a quite hard to ignore force for Parkman to contend with.

I still don't miss Mohinder though.

Forgot to post my thoughts about this.

Good:
-No Hiro, Ando, zombie-Nathan, or Tracy.
-The writers are actually trying to make Samuel a 3-dimensional villain, unlike all of the others in the past
-Sylar (or more likely a part of Matt's head) tricking Matt

Bad:
-The new deaf hero didn't impress me at all. Hopefully she gets more interesting later.

I'm still trying to figure out if the Claire storyline fits into anything or not. They hinted at it last week, with Claire showing up on Lydia's back. But right now nothing particularly interesting is happening, other than a small sub-plot that seems unnecessary to the overall story. However, it could certainly tie in later. Pretty ambivalent about Peter, but his arc so far has been many times better than it has in previous seasons, where he either had amnesia, or was being messed with by his future self for some reason. Considering I feel like Hiro needs to be written off or killed at this point, not having him in this week's episode was a plus. But I'm sure he'll be back shortly. We already saw Tracy returning in the trailer for next week.

I like the Sylar/Matt thing. Sylar could really mess with him.

I'm not sure about Gretchen. What's her deal? Something evil, I bet.

Kai Wynn's diagnosis of synesthesia was a good one, but so what? How are they going to make seeing sound a hero ability? I'm sure they'll concoct some strange way for that to be relevant.

And I agree wholeheartedly with others....Mohinder can stay gone.

The internets scuttlebutt has it that he returns in ep 9 or so. Which makes sense. How could the writers deal with the upcoming Sylar-vs-Matt train wreck without getting Mohinder into the middle of it all?
