Stephen McHattie! This is the X-Files.

Kevin Corrigan is done? Because if homegirl is pointing guns at bowling alley gurus, she ain't quite right.

You know, you have to give this show credit for making a seemingly standalone episode have a direct connection to the overall storyline. It's not like Mulder fighting with aliens one episode and deciding to investigate a haunted house the next.

Above Aberage - I liked this episode quite a bit. It just lacked that extra 'oomph' to make it excellent.

Next week looks interesting... Looks like a big episode.

No more fruit Walter. Good line there. Poor Astrid. Good episode although you wonder if the Colonel couldnt have just shot the courier to get the briefcase instead of blowing people up like that.

So is it supposed to mean anything that last week Walter remembered Astrid's first name and this week he remembered her last name?

I merely take it to mean that he is, for lack of a better word, evolving. He is becoming a bit more empathetic as a human being, as is characterized by his allowing of Peter to remove them from the hotel in which they are currently residing.

Ok, i probably missed this but what happened with the Fringe department being shutdown? I don't remember ever seeing a resolution to that.

At the end of the season opener, they were able to show the committee the (broken) piece of technology that made the shape-shifter had used. Peter suggested/promised that Fringe division would be able to capture technology like that if they were allowed to continue to operate.

Decoding the glyphs tonight, they spelled out BURIAL, though I'm not sure how this associates with the episode (if it's supposed to, that is).

Anyway, cool episode. I approve. :bolian:

So have I missed something? Seriously....

Why doesn't Nina Sharp simply tell Olivia (and Broyles for that matter) where she went?

I keep thinking I must have missed a line or a clue or something.

Anyway, I'm still enjoying the show and I'm looking forward to good things in the future. Like what is going to happen when Peter finds out the truth about his past?

Excellent for me. The season opener and last week were kind of lacklustre, but this week brought things right back up to par. I kind of wish they'd introduced some of these plot elements a little earlier, actually.

It looks like something along those lines occurs next week.

Yeah, the ending to this episode bumped it up to Above Average in my mind. Whereas the main plot from last week was not tied into the over-arching story at all.

So I'm also guessing that the reason Nina Sharp lost her arm likely involves her traveling between the universes? It's also pretty obvious that's where she and Massive Dynamic got the tech to build her arm, along with all of the other advanced stuff they have been doing. I'm also somewhat confident that William Bell improved on Walter Bishop's teleportation device from Season 1 in order to go to the other universe. But, we already know that Peter is from the other universe, so he had to get here somehow. So either Walter brought him here, or Bell did, most likely. Probably Bell.

The only question I can't answer is: what does the other universe get out of 'waging war' on ours? Especially since we know their technology is more advanced than ours by at least a few decades.

Walter said there were a lot of universes so we don't even know which one is going to want war.
