Recommend some good sci fi from the 50's-80's

I'm on a bit of a cult favorite/classic sci fi kick at the moment, I've been watching stuff like the following and am looking for more:

Soylent Green
Alien Nation
Silent Running
Westworld
Marooned
Forbidden Planet
Fantastic Voyage

Etc. Frankly, I can't get enough of it. I was hoping to get some suggestions from you guys about good sci fi made within that 30 year period.

I'm specifically looking for stuff that isn't sci-fi fantasy (like Star Wars for instance).

Any suggestions?

First Spaceship on Venus (Der schweigende Stern)

Planet of the Apes

2001: A Space Odyssey

Star Trek: The Motion Picture

Outland

Blade Runner

Enemy Mine

Robinson Crusoe on Mars is honestly not half-bad as far as technicolour sci-fi epics go. It's a little thin on the ground but I liked it.

Aside from this, I'd recommend usual suspects such as:
The Day the Earth Stood Still
Alien
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (the 50s and 70s versions)
Solaris

You can't go wrong with George Pal:

WAR OF THE WORLD, THE TIME MACHINE, THE SEVEN FACES OF DR. LAO . . . .

When Worlds Collide (1951)
It Came From Outer Space (1953)
The Thing from Another World (1951)
The Thing (1982)
The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)
Blade Runner (1982)

That's just off the top of my head.

I'd be willing to agree that Robinson Crusoe on Mars is only 49.99% bad. :p

Seriously, I watched that film with some friends, and despite some parts of it that are worth watching, I can't reccomend it with much enthusiasm. Maybe as a rental, after you've finished with the big boys already listed.

Hey, it's sort of dull, but it's pretty looking. If it were a half-hour in length it'd be a classic.

Timerider: The Adventures of Lyle Wagner

Wizards(woops, very fantasy, but cool)

Heavy Metal

Explorers
