The Rest of the world has accepted this. Are the people who run this site that stubborn that they still have to segregate this movie discussion threads into it's own category?

Let Nimoy do Fringe and Shatner do Priceline and the rest wallow in convention hell and embrace this movie as the Star Trek that will carry this franchise for another 40 years.

Surely Star Trek has its own forum because it's more current and likely to be discussed more than the earlier films?

One way to look at this apparent dichotomy:

Before 2009: Old Testament.

After 2009: New Testament.

(Ignore the religous aspects of the analogy, but didn't the show have a Bible?)

I'm fine with this having its own forum. It's a new film series that has a lot of interest. I prefer it having its own forum just so we can focus on it.
