While I was away for the weekend I had a look in a charity shop after I saw books in the window (I really can't help myself) and I bought 8 books (I really really can't help myself). Five of Colin Dexter's Inspector Morse novels, and three of Peter Robinson's Inspector Banks novels, all for the princely sum of £11 (that's US$18.36 for you lot across the pond).

The only problem, is that I now have well over a hundred books to read and not enough time to read them unless I somehow manage to read two books a day.

I finally found a silk pocket square that I've been after a while. I've needed a yellow/gold one with red/navy accents for ages but never found one I liked until browsing about today in Ralph Lauren.

What else? I finally got round to ordering Iron Man on DVD (something I've been meaning to do but kept forgetting) and I also stocked up on socks at Pringle.

And best of all, I ordered a new bespoke jacket yesterday in a navy-ish fabric with red/brown overcheck. Most excellent.

Before anyone asks, the current build of my EDC-ring (keys, plus various "emergency" tools) make a lot of racket when I was walking in the ObGyn yesterday and I got some odd/dirty looks. So I promised the wife that I would shave the ring a little; which gave me an excuse to blow $20 on new tools and knives <eg>
