Is your apology going to stop you posting things like this again ? An apology is meaningless if you don't use it as an opportunity to correct your behaviour.

I gotta say though, he was pretty much dead on.
Maybe, maybe not. It's just funny that he spends so much time lecturing people on how to behave and then behaves in the same way. A little bit of practice what you preach wouldn't go amiss.
Personally, when someone calls me out on my bullshit, the blunt approach is the best.
He's also a moderator, so it's kind of his job to give people feedback on how they post.
And as long as people are throwing stones, you're not so squeaky clean in the judgmental department either, Mr. Feminists-in-media-are-out-to-get-us-men. Locutus doesn't write like this that often, and when he does, he's 1.) articulate, and 2.) correct. That put his posts above 95% of what passes for critical thinking on this board. We could use more like it.

Feedback is not a list of ten reasons why he dislikes somebody else.
As you point out, I am not a moderator. My opinions are as open to criticism as long as everyone else's are too. Either we're supposed to separate the posts a person makes in their capacity as a mod from those they make as an ordinary poster or not.
It was entirely inappropriate for Locutus to post what he did in an official capacity. Thread bombs, personal comments about his place of work, the usual "get a blog" comment etc are not helpful. I assume, therefore, that he was posting as Locutus the Ordinary Poster and because of that I will criticise the inherent hypocrisy of his behaviour as he frequently criticises mine.
"Inherent hypocrisy?" It would be that if LoB started rant threads year in and year out, but he doesn't. He was using Trekker's other post as a starting point for a parody to make a point about the way Trekker presents himself here. Slightly different from being a ranting ranty rantlover himself.
Ah, that much overused word "parody". You can get away with posting anything because it's a "parody". The hypocrisy comes from insisting individuals don't behave in a manner he often does himself.
Ultimately, if I really had a problem with Trekker or anyone else I could just not read their threads. That's not the case with Locutus. You can't put a mod on ignore and it's very often not possible to see whether that a mod is posting his own opinion or what he's been told to in the BR.
In this case, I can't believe he was told to post anything like what he did.
