Anyone else on the BBS for years yet have a low rank?

Ive had an account since 2003, I usually do the odd post now and again. I do tend to read here a fair amount, and to say its what got me watching a variety of things i never would give a look at.
Not that ive been a one for long posts, usually of the short and sweet variety.

Well, I have been a member for five and a half years and this my fourth post, so I would say yes! 
I'm just generally a bit nervous about making a fool out of myself, so I mostly stick to reading.

I've been hear for 8 yrs but only a commodore. I guess I usually don't post that much. Though I do read a lot of the threads, I usually don't have much to contribute (even sometimes when I do post).
So, rollcall for all of us relatively-low-ranking relatively-long-timers.
Me too. I got here in 2001, and I'm just a Commodore. I think I hold the record for the longest time to Captain - it took me 5+ years to get there.
I just plug along.
Which is funny because you sit in my mind as one of the regulars of the BBS from when I first joined. I don't know if you were on a posting spree or I just got lucky in the threads I read, but you are one of the first members I remember knowing (if you get what I mean).

You've been reading for 5 1/2 years and you're still worried about making a fool of yourself? Surely you must realize that that's almost a requirement to post here.

That happens to me all the time- I only see the mistakes once someone quotes me.

Thanks luv...I know I'll be alright. After all is said and done I'll have a better job....I've always gotten hired pretty much right away...... But to send me away for two weeks on vacation and then come back the first day and tell me they're closing is just really fucked up. I could of been handling my business getting shit straight instead of going on vacation.
Been here since March 2001 and still only a Captain with 801 posts. I guess I'm just not too talky.

Thank you and I will!!! I always do and I've been through much much darker days than this. I'm still in shock a little bit...I've been here for over 8yrs -- a long time and I will miss TrekBBS during the day though, this makes me a sad. My boss is an absolute wreck...he's already fucking shit up and I'm still here...I am laughing a little bit inside though..an evil laugh. Muuuahhh.
The BBS is makin' me wait for freakin' EVER, to get my Admiral's rank... sheesh... I've been here since 2002, and stuck at Commodore for over a year... just give me my Admiral's rank, already.
