Vicodin.

I should leave it at that and let the rumors and speculation fly. Nothing so sinister, though. Am having shoulder surgery -subacromial decompression - Friday a.m and wanted to have my pain pills when I got home.

A likely cover story... :shifty:

Good luck with the surgery. :techman:

I bought airline tickets to Mauritius. Well, I say "bought", I paid for them completely with Airmiles. Who says credit card reward schemes are pointless! :D

When I first read your last sentence I read Mauritania and I was saying "WTF" to myself. I'm glad I read it a second time.

:D

I don't want THAT much excitement when on holiday; I prefer to avoid countries at risk of coup d'etat...

Plus another tank.

Oh...uh...my! Those underwear leave little to the...um...imagination!

Today a bought a haircut and a new book, Push

Close to $600 in books for school (which means that when I try to sell them back, I'll be able to pull about $4), and House Season 5

^^^ But you're buying an education that will last much longer! :)

It's funny that the last few people have listed books. We stopped by a used bookstore today and I picked up three books myself.

Okay, I also had my first trip to the racetrack today and my in-laws gave me some money to place a few bets. My system was basically to pick horses that sounded like they had stripper names. I came out ahead! :D

Snow Leopard.

Do you like it? I'm going to pick it up probably later this month.

Oh, man I did some damage today. But it my defense, I got my little heart broken this weekend.

I got 3 pairs of shoes on sale at DSW. Black flats, black heels and those hipsters tennis shoes you see on all the kids today.

Went to Sephora and bought a Shu Emura eyelash curler, Philosophy Purity makeup remover, Clinique eye makeup remover and Stila Kajal eyeliner in gray.

Then I scored at Target by buying a Shick Quattro razor and blades back on sale, tooth paste, chapstick and something else I forgot.

Dexter season three and Californication season two. Showtime knows how to price their DVDs--I wish HBO would take note. Actually, no, I don't. As long as they're priced through the roof I won't spend any more money!

Last night, I also purchased pizza and beer at a local pizzeria

Tomorrow - Time to visit the mechanic again...

We bought a new bed this weekend. Actually, found the one we want and will go back in a few weeks after we save up for it.

We're way overdue. The one we have now is a cheapo full size one my wife got when she was in grad school. We picked out a nice queen sized one with memory foam and far better support with less pressure.

Waking up with a stiff neck every morning sucks!

Retail therapy is always good. Hope it worked, at least a little!

I sense someone will be dressing up & painting the town red soon... :D

Today was a day of "almost purchases". Wanted to get a couple of books, but the site didn't credit my cashback reward account, so I cancelled the order. Will try again tomorrow now once the cancellation is confirmed, now that I've reregistered the reward card with them.

It's about time I had my own copies of a couple of books and will try to remember who I borrowed the originals from to return them. The books are Anne Hollander's "Seeing Through Clothes" and Bertrand Russell's "Conquest of Happiness". The first is a fun read of the depiction of fashion/clothes in art, and the second is how to realise your life really is a complete waste of time and that you should enjoy that truth more. :D

Last purchases were a shopping spree on my last day in London...

Quite a few postcards and posters from the Imperial War Museum, prints from the National Portrait Gallery (very nice quality for their print service, and much, much better prices than the National Gallery, those swindling bastards), several jars of curry sauce (mmmm), cheeeeese, a few other food items I can't get here, and more tea. Mmmm, tea. In duty free I bought another tin of cookies, and some choco to use up the last of my pounds. Also had a last Pret sandwich at the airport. They need to open here, Subway is miserable by comparison.
