Do you ever just sing?

and I don't mean sing favorite showtunes in the shower, or sing along with the radio etc
I mean sing without a song . . .
I was driving home tonight after spending time with friends, and instead of listening to my zune or the radio I just started singing
no words, just 'aaaahhhh' etc
I was just following where my voice wanted to go . . . it was refreshing, and relaxing, and since I had no idea what I was doing I have no way of repeating it and it was totally unique . . .
does anyone else take enjoyment from singing aimlessly?

Closest I ever got was when I was walking through Times Square and suddenly got the urge to sing "16 Tons". Ironically, one of the few songs ever recorded I actually think I can sing well... :vulcan:

Sometimes I make up random songs in my head and sing them out loud. They always have words, though.

I usually do it when I'm driving when I don't have any music with me and when there's nothing good on the radio.

I do that too. Sometimes, I start doing an impromptu Star Wars themed musical. I sort of have the Duel in Empire worked out by now.

Nice.

Yeah, my songs are usually set to familiar tunes, but they have completely original lyrics.

I've done this, and gone so far as to turn the radio off to do it, even if there is something decent playing. Most of the time if I do that, though, it isn't to make up a song, but to sing a known song that is on my mind but not readily available to listen to at the moment.

I like to sing. I like to sing out loud. Sometimes I sing too strong though. I prefer to sing a simple song about happy things instead of sad things. I'd rather focus on the good too, not the bad. In fact I think I'll be singing my whole life long and I don't give a damn if anyone thinks it's not good enough.

Yes sir, did that today.
Sometimes I make up songs right there wherever I am, and they tend to be cohesive, too, with lyrics, without lyrics, doesn't matter. I love to sing.

All the time. One time at work I started randomly singing 'The Gambler' by Kenny Rogers because I was bored and it's quite possibly the greatest song ever. Eventually some of my coworkers started joining in.

When one of them hit the high note on "You got to know when to hold 'em... WHEN TO HOLD 'EM!" I'd never been prouder to know a group of individuals in my life. That feeling lasted about five minutes.

I do that quite a lot. Makes for good voice exercise :p . I like making up my own songs too, Usually poems about stuff that I sing.

I do find myself singing randomly, but usually it's something I've picked up from elsewhere without realizing. Maybe I heard someone else humming something, or I saw a commercial, whatever.

I enjoy singing in general. I have a pretty bad temper but I've found that it's quite difficult for me to stay angry about something when singing.
