When you take a shower....

It only takes a few seconds for the water to warm up in my shower. On the other hand, it only lasts a few seconds. :rommie:

Well, that sucks.

I like nice hot showers. It helps relieve stress.
Best body wash in the world is Kirk's Castile body wash. Smells like coconut (it has coconut oil in it), and gets you clean. I take an aromatic trip to the Bahamas every day. :D

I get in, take the hand attachment (aftermarket, can't stand OEM shower nozzles) off the hook and aim it to the corner of the shower away from me, and turn on the water. I adjust to the correct temperature and then commence my ablution ritual. ;)

This. :)

I'm usually taking a dump before I shower first thing in the morning, so I will reach in and turn on the water just before I get up.

Nothing's worse than having to take a dump right after you've already cleaned yourself. It's kind of a "Well, what was the point of that?"

Yeah, me too. I tend to continuously increase the temperature of the water until it's almost burning me at the end of my 'shower experience'. Then I enjoy the combined fruits of an extremely hot water and extremely high water pressure massage. :adore:

BTW, in accordance with the above, it's always a good idea to take your shower head apart and remove the asinine flow restrictor that all shower heads are required to have nowadays. :D

Stand outside for a bit to let it get some kinda of semblance of heat. Seeing as our warm water lines are the slowest in the history of western civilization.

Get into the shower and then turn on the water, let it run for a few seconds, then shift it into the shower mode, I usually flinch as initially its cold, but a few seconds later is hot.

Let the water run first, in order to wash away the dirt and scum for a minute or so, in the meantime waiting for the temperature to be just right - not too cold, not too scorching - then dive straight in.

.... What, we're talking about showers? :alienblush:

This is what passes for a Misc. thread now?
We seriously need to introduce people to Twitter. :guffaw:

This. I also like my showers pretty hot. When I take a bath I use hardly any cold water.

I tend to be sensitive to cold water but have had cold showers in the past couple of weeks in the evenings, especially when the weather's been really hot here in the Bay Area. I can tell how much heat is released from my body when I step out of the bathroom and then come back in a few minutes. The room feels very warm.

I point the shower head to the wall and wait until I feel warm water hitting my feet, then relocate it. At which time I pee in the shower. :p

I stand outside, let the water temperature adjust to where it's comfortable, then get in. The method works especially well since water is included in the rent on the apartment.

This. And in the winter, I the shower run for a bit to steam up the bathroom, because I don't have any heat on in there.

What the heck is wrong with you guys' water systems where the shower-water isn't almost instantly hot when you turn it on?

I live on the 3rd floor of a 150-year-old building with old-ass plumbing. Even after the faucet water is warm, the first blast out of the shower head is usually cold. :vulcan:

I turn on the faucet first and check the temp with my feet before I flip the switch for the shower itself. I can usually get it relatively quickly (I've never burned myself doing this).

My Nephew had some Axe body wash that smelled like balsam. It was like being up at the Polar Caves. I gotta find some of that. I bought some that was the same color, but the scent was totally different. :rommie:

Yeah, you have to watch Axe. They like to use the same color for several scents. I like Kilo myself.

I give it a few seconds to take the chill off, then head in and adjust it on the fly from there.
