Star Trek Highest Ranked for 2009

Yeah, I tried to take Shinzon more seriously and three-dimensionally. But whenever he spouted those cheesy, over-the-top lines like some Bond villain with a volcano lair and bunch of nukes I cringed. Picard was efete and snotty at times but HE never talked like that even when he was angry.

Yah, Nemesis was pretty flat. It just had so little depth. I can watch it, but there are moments when Shinzon speaks where I cringe.

Shinzon's best scenes PERIOD were when he and Picard shared that dinner in the Senate chamber. Both characters seemed real and three-dimensional. After that...the character started going straight down the crapper.

I liked his intro scene as well. He just got crappy once he became a diabolical super-villain.

The movie just didn't play hard enough on the clone aspect of the character. Shinzon should have shown more Picard-like insight and doubts about his actions with the thalaron weapon. Should I? Shouldn't I? I'm human, after all...at my core...Earth is my home even if I've never been there. That sorta conflict. But we got little or nothing.
