When I lived with my father, he liked to listen to The Diane Rehm Show on NPR, and I simply couldn't stand to be in the room when he did. I've heard people described as having "a face for radio," but Rehm has a voice for print. An unbearable, creaking whine of a voice -- ughh.
I agreee. I sounds like she's in the midst of some sort of massive stroke and/or seizure. Every day.
I cut her some slack because she's got a vocal disorder called spasmodic dysphonia; she had to quit broadcasting completley for a while and can only do it now with frequent therapy treatments (Botox in the vocal cords, I believe).
