This actually made me laugh. I think the only hope Fox had was when they were still airing The Sarah Conner Chronicles.
Fox does have some good shows on. 24 and House are both my most favorite shows. Mental and Lie to Me are two others on Fox that I quite enjoy and the now canceled Prison Break was good too.

I do agree. Shows like House, for example, are fantastic. But really, the good to shit ratio is pretty wide. When Fox is good, they good but damn, when they're bad...

I was excited at the prospect of the Cleveland show, until I watched the trailer.

American Dad has had its VERY funny moments. Namely the episode where Stan and Roger are trapped in the burning barn filled with pot, and come out higher than neptune. Roger grabs hold of a big bag of Dog food otherwise he claims "he'll float away". After holding the bag for most of the episode, at the end he's told to drop it and immediately shoots up into the air and out of shot.
Ive never laughed so hard at an animated show since Futurama went off the air - and even then the humor never hit me quite like it did then.

Fox wouldn't cancel Family Guy this year, what with the emmy nomination and all.
The sad thing is, American Dad! doesn't get the ratings Family Guy does. With The Cleveland Show premiering this season, I worry that AD may not be around much longer.
The first season was. Everything after that was either a rehash or vulgared-up.
Fox adds about 4 new shows every year and then cancels them. If they wanted to add a new show, they'd have plenty of opportunities to do so.
Alright then maybe they wouldn't have to cancel King of the Hill.
Now that others have mentioned it, I also prefer AD to FG.
I think it's Peter Griffin's stupidity. Why does US TV have the idea, 'pater ergo non cogito'? At least Stan Smith has a brain that is slightly used, plus Stewie.
I've seen that same stupidity bleeding into The Simpsons, which also reduces enjoyment of that show, the movie being a particular example.

I too prefer American Dad to Family Guy. Honestly, AD is probably the best animated show Fox has right now... so naturally, it's the least popular.

I never thought Family Guy was all that great, but at least it could occasionally be funny. This past season, however, was painfully unfunny for the most part -- in fact, it pretty much sucked. Of course, this is the season that it gets an Emmy nomination for best comedy. Not just animated series... comedy. There hasn't been an animated show nominated in this category since The Flintstones, and they pick Family Guy to be the first? God, what a joke the Emmys have become. South Park would be much more deserving... and ten years ago, The Simpsons would've been as well.

The thing is, Peter used to just be dumb in a socially inept kind of way, and he wasn't so bad. Then they decided to make him literally retarded, and the show's suffered for it.
