Bloody Hell, Look Who's Back [MAJOR SPOILER!]

s5filming5.jpg

That. Is. Awesome.

So if this is meant to be River Song, that means she was involved with a future Doctor after all. Good, it makes sense with how it was portrayed in the two-parter. I wonder what that device she's carrying in her hand is?

She looks like a blonde Servalan.

Didnt River say to the 10th Doctor that he looked so young? But isn't No. 11 even younger looking? Oh well, I suppose the last time she saw him pre-The Library - in her timeline - he may have looked a lot older than Smith currently does. Bloody bendy wendy timey wimey makes me head hurt.

Remember Smith looks younger but is actually older than Tennant...in chronological terms the 1st Doctor is a child whilst the 11th is a truly old man--when River said he looked young she meant (in my opinion) young in terms of regeneration and actual age, not looks...

The 11th doctor doesn't seem sad at all about seeing River again. You'd think seeing her sacrifice herself in the future would permanently scar him.

I guess the moping is over?

My gosh is he young(only two years older than me) River Song looks like a proud mom sending her boy off to school.

Given that there's been some strange notions floating around the net that she mightn't actually be playing River Song, this photo kind of clinches it.

Look at the name on the wreckage then cast your mind back to 'Silence In The Library'.

No fuck in their right mind no matter how stoned they are from the good drugs they save up for labour, is going to name their child "River Song" ...Well I suppose if the Drugs in question were REALLY good? Regardless, it's a pseudonym she being all gloriously incognito so when she meets him for real for the first time from her perspective, that he won't already know that he's desperately in love with her. Case in pioint may I remind you how shit heroes was with this despite casting a groinilishious actress to warm up to tubby Matt Parkmans insistence that destiny means that they don't have to bother falling in love when they can just decide to be well clearly sunk dead into the mire of codependency..

The new assistant. = Young girl with red hair.

River, the assistant yet to assist but in a state of retirement = middle aged girl with red hair.

(Sure Donna had the ginger, bottle ginger probably, and I'm sure that whoever the hell this new one is who I have not yet fallen in love with yet but clearly will, and I am ashamed to be destinys bitch just like the doctor is too in this situation but the new girl is bottle ginger too from the looks of it which counters the entire argument unless shes a natural ginger who bottle gingers herself to fake out the lovefraud squad?)

Oh, and as far as when I fell in love with Donna?

She had me at "Pockets".

The outfit doesn't look too bad in that shot without the jacket and a bit more rumpled.

I've been thinking about the costume and I think my problem with the outfit is that it doesn't seem very "roguish" to me which I think most of the costumes/actor pairings have to some degree.

at this point, I think ive seen too much, and im going to give the set photos a rest for a week or so (until they are filming something new)

The new old look Tardis looks really iconic standing there in that bleak rocky environment.:)

It does look iconic.

It reminds me of old WHO and the mini Tardis on a soundstage.

Also a few episodes too. I think somewhere between Colin Bakers regeneration to McCoy and "Last of the Timelords" when the doctor and Master are standing on that cliff

Well, she did deduce that their entire relationship had taken place with him knowing how she would die. And I have a feeling that Ten probably met her once or twice in the meantime, else she wouldn't have recognized him at the Library (unless she had a bit of the Time-Lord in her herself*). But he must've played coy about what order his incarnations came in, or else she would've known that they couldn't have done the Byzantium yet.

*Insert obvious joke here

a) she was probably born on a different world.

b) you may not remember all the kids of hippies with names like Sunflower Moonbeam. eg Rainbow Sun Francks from Stargate Atlantis
