He did pay off one of his accusers. Why pay them off if he did nothing wrong?
Inconvenient truth.
Meaningless. Everyone knows that he was fragile, there is every possibility that he just didn't want to go through a trial. You have no idea what his reasons were.
I'd also like to point out that the OJ/MJ parallel that some people are drawing isn't really valid. OJ, while acquitted, was found liable for the killings in a civil court. No court, criminal
or civil, has ever ruled against Jackson.
Beyond that, there is also the fact that there is a TON of evidence linking OJ to the killings, while the MJ trial was essentially his word versus theirs. The judge in the trail stated something to the effect that he had seen no evidence that Jackson had molested the child, but had seen reams of evidence that suggested the child and his family were motivated by money and had a history of lying under oath.
God help you if YOU are ever the subject of false allegations of child abuse, it happens more often than you might imagine.
