I've enrolled into a university!

It took long enough for that to sink into my head. Once I turned 25 I kept thinking "it's too late now", and had pretty much resigned myself to foregoing something I really wanted to do.

It's never too late. One of my friends is still in college, and he is 29. Another one just recently graduated and she was 32!

Have fun in college, but not too much fun! ;) The teacher in me must remind you to do your homework and to not spend too much time here. :)

Thank you. I am eager to learn as much as I can and use it well.

You know, oddly enough, the final word on my decision came from my stylist. I go to Great Clips and I had never seen her before, and we were talking while she cut my hair. She mentioned that she was finishing up college and that she was 34 (getting a Nursing degree). I started asking her about tuition and things like that, and she explained how she did it, citing Stafford Loans and Pell Grants and such, and I realized that it was completely feasible for me, even being economically disadvantaged as I am right now, to get an education. So I did it.

And I tipped her a $10. I couldn't help it, it was good advice. And she looked like Billie Piper.

Damned great news. As someone who was 32 when they got their BA its never too late. Can you tell us what school you'll be going to? My only concern is the schools accreditation. Did you pick one with a regional accreditation?

If that's the case I would've tipped her $50 and asked what she was doing for the rest of the evening.

P.S. I went to college on and off for 9 years before I finally got my degree. It's never too late.

I only had an extra $10 on me.

Great news, J! :)

Thank you. :D

Congratulations, J! :bolian:

Now get to work! :klingon: *Cracks whip*

I want that twenty-page term paper on my desk by Friday.

Excellent news J. Allen, congrats! I look forward to hearing about your wacky college adventures. :D

And it's definitely never too late to go back to school -- when I was in university, I knew fellow students in their forties! Actually, I worked as a T.A. for a first-year film class, and some of the students I graded were noticeably older than me... man, that felt weird!

I may go back myself one of these days... get a degree from which I can actually build a career! Right now I have a B.A. in English and Theatre & Film Studies, and I don't have a clue what to do with it! So there is definitely the distinct possibility of more schooling in my future. We shall see...

But anyway, good for you J!

Congratulations and good luck! :)

Thank you, Naira. :)

Great news :D I am sure you will do well!

Thank you, Aurian, I will do my best. :D

Good job, mate.

Thanks sidious! :D

That's why I hit business right off. I needed something that I could invest myself into so that when I wasn't working, I could play. There are so many options in business, that I couldn't resist! Thank you, Daneel! :D

Forties? I know a few people in their 60s.

Sweet! I didn't take too long. ;)
