Sadly, I will not be attending Shore Leave this year. Baby girl is due early August so next week I'll be officially past the point where they let me board a plane...even if my doctor thought it was a good idea, which he did not. At least that's what I gathered from the uncontrollable laughing he responded with when I asked if he thought it would be okay for me to fly across the country at 36 weeks.

It's possible that Margaret may be able to answer some questions at the con. And I am participating in the Comedy Roast of Keith DeCandido, as scheduled...just not in person.

But other than that, I'm not sure what might be announced re the book or Voyager.

Just saw the episode "Distant Origins" (I think)....I wonder what the Voth would think of the Federation envoy (or whatever it's called). They could be a VERY powerful enemy, what with their transwarp, superior tech and the ability to transport entire ships. That part was cool. Plus they'd warned that they never wanted to see Voyager, etc again.

^If the Voth aren't seen in Unworthy, then hopefully they are dealt with in another upcoming Voyager book. Provided, of course, that they are still in the DQ post-Unworthy...

^ I don't think the Voth would care all that much really, as long as the AQ fleet stayed out of their way and didn't rock the boat too much...

I agree. The Voth's concerns are mostly inner-directed. So long as the Voyager fleet doesn't try to meddle in Voth affairs or promote the Distant Origin "heresy," the Voth wouldn't really bother with them. Besides, Starfleet tends to focus mostly on planetary civilizations and the Voth reside in deep space in their city-ships.

Also, remember that the Delta Quadrant is huge. It's not one place, it's many different places. The Voyager fleet is heading for former Borg territory to see what's going on there. Presumably Voth territory and Borg territory did not interpenetrate significantly. And Voth territory is way, way, way at the far end of Borg territory.

Yeah. Every airline has their own cutoff date but every one I checked with has one.

I may be behind on this one, but it's the first I have heard. So I will simply say congratulations and I wish you and the baby good luck and a good life.:)

Um, does anyone know exactly when "Unworthy" will come out? Different sources say different months.

I think it's the last week of September or early October. Hopefully soon...I still haven't exhaled after the end of Full Circle ;)

It's the October release, but the novels usually start showing up late in the month prior to their scheduled release month, so in late September.

It could be worse. It's stated in "Greater Than The Sum" that a lot of Borg have their sexual organs ripped out and replaced with Borg implants. So if there's any liberated borg that haven't been "assimilated" into the Caeliar, they seem to be left at a slight disadvantage unless the sexual organs have magically regenerated.
