I have never understood how homosexuality could be considered immoral. I feel like people who use this argument don't actually know what morals are.

Defining morality is tricky at best. However, if we're going to break it down in simplest terms, it has to do with right and wrong.

I just don't see how doing something that makes you happy and doesn't hurt anyone can be considered wrong.

Learn how to read. That is exactly the opposite of what I said.

If you do something that hurts only you and nobody else, then you are still hurting someone. You are hurting yourself. I would consider that wrong.

I hate this slippery slope thing that comes up whenever gay marriage is discussed.

Whereas I dislike that most supportive of same-sex marriage shy away from supporting polygamy, whether for pragmatic reasons or because they genuinely believe state recognition of relationships should be limited to those between two people. The former is a mild form of cowardice, the latter is bigotry no less objectionable than that of those opposed to same-sex marriage.

How would this polygamy work?

Would the groups of husbands/wives have to be completely self-contained, where each person is only entitled to marry someone else who's already within that group?

Or if spousal connections can zig-zag and you can add your 3rd wife's 2nd husband to your Christmas Card list?
