Is this person an adult? This is from Sarek
Could just be one of the many civilian children on the ship. I'd imagine the Chief Engineer of the U.S.S. Enterprise would have more than a few admirers and Engineer wannabes.

Well I guess my belief in a no-child policy was unfounded. After watching Imaginary Friend Guinan says children CAN be in 10 forward if accompanied by an adult.
Well, spent the last few hours researching this episode, and all I can find is a reference to "Geordi talking to boy in Ten Forward." on Memory Alpha's site http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Sarek_(episode)
I tossed in the disk and ran the credits at the end of the episode, and there are none that I can tell to define who this was.

Actually, isn't the violet-clad person to the right of the one in question also rather petite, and probably juvenile?
It would be a bit weird not to allow kids in 10 Fwd. I mean, why the heck not? It's a place where friends meet and eat and drink good-tasting, healthy and harmless foods and beverages. There isn't even any tobacco smoke or loud music.
What Guinan says in "Imaginary Friend" is rather vague:
We can't even be sure she's being serious. Perhaps kids come and go all the time, and Guinan is just teasing Clara Barton. Or perhaps Clara has misbehaved in the past and is on probation as far as 10-Fwd is concerned.

It looks to me like a smallish adult. You can see the legs, and if you compare the size of the torso to Geordi's, they're about the same size. If the person was standing up, I'd guess he/she would be a few inches shorter than Geordi.
Also, you can see the edge of another seated person on the right behind the man who's standing. The two seated people look around the same size.

But they both look rather small compared with the red-uniformed Starfleeter to their right, or the standing yellow-uniformed man. Could be young people, could be females, could be small people of average age and indeterminate gender. For all we know, these are the kids of the standing man - or the girlfriends of the two uniformed people - but admittedly only LaForge is paying attention to them in this picture, while their putative avecs aren't.

Oh no, the "size of the nu Enterprise!?" posts are starting to infect the rest of the board!
Maybe this kid is a winner of some kind of contest, probably a radio or comic book contest, in which he gets to "Be in a scene with a Star Trek TNG main character!"
