Radioshack. I personally would have gotten a whopping $15 (before taxes). I know the store would have gotten a lot for it but frankly I couldn't care less. As long as they stay in business for 4 more months, I'm good.
Wow, make sure you tell the next person who you are hoping to hire you that.
Seeing as the next place I interview will be a business related to my field and not in any way related to retail, I'd imagine they wouldn't give two fucks about my attitude in regards to consumer electronics retail.
No, it's the truth. Because someone has a low level job doesn't mean they should be abused. They're either teens that don't have knowledge or don't care to service the customers or they are people who for one reason or another cannot get a better job. Doesn't in ANY way mean they should be abused. Clear?
You know, I've tried hard lately to not become offended by some of the asinine things said on this board, but this one comes across as pretty downright fucking offensive.
Let me get this straight. All retail employees (or in your definition, holders of a
low level job) fall into two categories.
1. Uneducated, careless teenagers.
2. Losers who can't get anything better.
Nevermind the countless other reasons why somebody might find themselves working in a
low level job. Hmm, maybe it is because they're working their way through college, paying the bills while they earn their degree? Maybe they have the motivation and the drive to do more in their professional career, but maybe they don't quite have that piece of paper that lets them pursue those dreams? Or maybe this is their part time second job in addition to a
higher level job and they're working retail to help pay the bills.
No, of course none of those things could be true. Let's just assume every Joe Nametag you come across is either an idiot or a loser, or maybe both. That way you can treat him like shit and feel fine about it, because anybody on a
higher level wouldn't be forced to work in retail.
Its that mentality that makes people feel its okay to walk in a minute before a store closes and demand to be given the same treatment as if the store had just opened for the day.
Low level jobs apparently employ
low level people who don't deserve simple human decency. Who gives a shit about them, right? You just *need* your phone or your ground beef right NOW and fuck the guy who now has to completely alter his entire night just for you. He has a family to get home to. He has homework or a second job or a new baby or a sick grandfather to get home to.
Who cares, though. He's just a
low level person.
