I got stung by a bee once in the thumb. I forget how old I was (I was a kid, btw) but it was trying to get out of the water in our pool so I grabbed it by it's wing to be a hero and save it but it decided to be an asshole and sting me instead.

I threw him back in the pool.

That's just evil. The poor thing was scared and fighting for it's life and didn't know what was happening the poor thing and the one person who could have saved it's life decided to let it drown over a little thing like a finger sting.
