Wow, more money than Serenity? Is that even possible?
Don't diss us Browncoats.

Nobody cared about Serenity except butthurt Browncoats. Everyone I know went to see the Star Trek movie and 99% of them loved it. Some of them didn't even like Iron Man or TDK, but they went for seconds and even thirds for ST.Oh yes it does, at least in Star Trek's case as Temis pointed out. It was more fun than any of those movies combined.Whether you love it or hare it, how much money a film makes doesn't equal its quality
I haven't seen the other two, but I'd say Star Trek 09 was more fun than Serenity simply because it was more of a fun sort of movie. In terms of script and acting quality, not all that much difference.
Titanic had something that other movies didn't - repeat quality. At least for millions and millions of teenage girls and young women.Right, so you believe Titanic is the greatest movie of all time? You squarely, firmly believe that?Oh yes it doesWhether you love it or hare it, how much money a film makes doesn't equal its quality
Because by defintion that is what you're saying

And remember American Idol is better than all science fiction shows that have ever aired except maybe the premiere of Battlestar Galactica in 1978.

That's not what I am saying here.I hate box office dick waving.
I loved the new Trek film and am thrilled to death that it has been so successful... but success alone doesn't automatically make the film better than any other film.
Have we become incapable of making our own judgments of a film's quality?
