Fallout 1 - A random encounter with the TARDIS

Having become a massive Fallout 3 addict I have gone back to play the original.

I was wandering through the radiated wasteland and and found the TARDIS.

Sadly it dematerialised before I could get in it.

Where have you unexpectedly come across it in Non-Doctor Who related material?

It's on the Enterprise-D schematics in the TNG Tech Manual, in one of the shuttlebays I think (and also mentioned that it's on the big ship schematic display in the eps, just too small to see). Along with a giant rubber duck, a hamster in a treadmill and whatnot.

Isn't it also in the launch bay of Red Dwarf in Back in the Red, Part II?

The cover of an Iron Maiden album back in the 80's...LOL! It's just sitting there on the roof in a corner...

the TARDIS isn't in the MSD. the MSD on the Ent-D contains Nomad (TOS, The Changeling), a rubber duck, a mouse on a wheel, a DC-3 plane and a Porsche

In the early eighties sitcom 'Cheltenham 123', set during the Roman occupation of Britain, two characters are having a conversation on a road during a stormy night. As they talk, the Tardis appears on a hill behind them.

A figure, seen only in silhouette, gets out, and holds a hand out to gauge the weather. He then goes back in, and the Tardis dematerializes. The two characters hadn't even noticed it.

That's so cool. :techman:

For those who don't have the game and want to see it, I managed to find a video of the TARDIS cameo on YouTube. Link

I used to love that show.

Shame you can't get it on DVD.

I just found an article which has links to pictures of the Iron Maiden album you're referring to, I think, "Somewhere in Time". The TARDIS appears at the back of the cover art, it would seem.

In the same article, there is a reference to the single "Wasted Years" which also seems to feature the TARDIS.

The article discusses connections between Doctor Who and Iron Maiden in general. I haven't read it all, just perused it. But there seems to be some interesting information there.

Man that's awesome! I literally haven't seen that picture since I was a child! Brilliant! Thanks! :techman:
