So.. all the sehlats are dead. How many do you think there would be offworld? As they are (possibly) an iconic animal to the Vulcans I wonder if that would make them more likely to share them with zoos/wildlife parks on other worlds or less. Vulcan's isolationist tendencies and respect for all life makes me think they would not have been inclined to send sehlats offworld for enjoyment and study by non-Vulcans.
There could well be no sehlats left at all. I would hope a few did still exist and a breeding/cloning program could be set in motion. No doubt a sample of their DNA exists elsewhere, in some zoological library, and they can eventually be recreated.
