Picked up my box set last week at Best Buy. I've been watchin' a few episodes at a time, and finished the third disc tonight before I had to come into work.

I already watched the first two episodes. It's definitely an improvement over the grainy, low quality files I downloaded 3 or 4 years ago.

I've been watching it.....it really was a terrific show in season 1.

I do notice that for some reason they're using the Sandoval's Run title sequence on every episode. During the Scifi Channel airings at least, they only used that sequence once.....I wonder at the motivation there.

I guess it looks visually more like the later sequences, and it de-emphasizes Boone?

EFC is one of the most underrated scifi shows ever. Too bad it went to shit after S3. Way too many cast changes.

Just started the fourth disc the other day, and the title sequences changed right after 'Sandoval's Run', I think...from focussin' on the Taelons arrival to focussin' on Boone's mission as a double agent.

Now, just have to wait until Season 2 comes out.

Hate to do this, but there is no season two! Or three! Or four! Or five!

There is only season one!

After seeing the episodes for the first time since their initial run, I am left angered by what could have been. THe relationship between Boone and Da'an really was a high point in Season 1. THeir interactions with each other and the playful banter between Boone and Lilly really were areas that I wish would have been explored across all five seasons. The same goes between the interactions between Augur and Lilly, Doors and Boone, etc. I am not happy with what happened in later seasons, and I can see the potential that this series exuded in season 1. The chemistry between these actors (and some of the initial writing) really shined through in season 1.

Watchin' 'Avatar' the other day, I loved the scene between Boone & Da'an in the jail cell, when Da'an was explainin' the Taelon fable/myth. Boone pointed out a particular character drawn on the wall, and asked who that was supposed to be, and Da'an just gave Boone a look, but didn't answer the question.

And, of course, in 'Resurrection', the stuff between Boone & Da'an, about how Boone's imperative made him work to get Da'an back in his rightful place as the North American companion instead of Za'or...

Yeah, the first season with Boone & Da'an's interactions really made this show entertainin'.

Ah! I remember watching this in syndication! Good stuff until it got all weird in the later seasons.
