So how does the enterprise get into orbit? (Spoiler)

Well, for purists, I speculate that it was flown by impulse engines to San Francisco for the finishing touches and then to space for its lauch. :)
 
Now I keep hearing that there is a shot that shows the NCC-1701 on the side of the nacelle. Is this true? Cause if so then it is in fact the Enterprise.
Going by the screencap JoeRalat made for this thread (lots of large images!), I'm inclined to think that there's no such shot, but I also think that having it be any ship other than the Enterprise would be sort of a dramatic cheat.

Wouldn't it be thrusters probably? Impulse engines would be too much in atmosphere. [nerd out]
 
I would like to point out that in TOS they actually show a city that floats in the air. I don't think lifting a ship into orbit is significantly harder than that!
