The best Star Trek? (Excluding TOs and TNG)

I also think it was odd to exclude TOS and TNG, or that "Best Gene-less Star Trek" may very well have been a better title.

As for the matter at hand, DS9. It's my favorite far and away, including TNG and TOS.

To prevent the poll from finishing with 35% TOS, 60% TNG and 5% the other shows, I didn't include TOS and TNG.

The only way the poll would end up like that is if you cut out DS9. DS9 and TNG normally battle it out for first and second, TOS is a distant third and Voy and Ent try not be to be last, at least on this board. So in the end all you're really going to get it a very heavy DS9 win.

Odd exclusion criteria. In my experience, this board usually votes DS9 ahead of TNG.

That is the first thing I thought. It seems that DS9 almost always wins these polls. TOS and TNG usually move between 2nd and 4th place depending on the mood of the forum members and who logs on that day.

ENT had it's moments, and was just beginning to get really good at the precise moment it was cancelled. maybe if it had run another couple of seasons it might have been a more serious contender. VOY started out worthless and got worse.

took me a while to figure out my personal rankings, but TOS, TNG, and DS9 are the holy trinity for me. those three are, for me, 3 essential components of an integrated whole.

ENT had its moments.

VOY was totally worthless. people gave ENT a lot of shit for "killing the franchise," but i think VOY had a lot more to do with souring both long-time fans and the mass public on ST.

But VOY was on at the same time as DS9. I think it was just the oversaturation of Trek in general as well as the lackluster TNG movies that did in Trek's general reputation (which was never that great to begin with).

I feel that it's a tie between DS9 and VOY; therefore, I'm unable to choose just one series to vote for. I truly enjoyed the episodes I saw of VOY and DS9 (when it was on).
