Okay, I listened to the interview. But I don't really know whether I should believe what he says about Mulgrew's behaviour. I think he's maybe exaggerating a little bit. But if it's true I'd say it's highly unprofessional of her to behave like that. I think it's understandable given the circumstances, but that doesn't make it right.

I found the stuff he says about Berman very weird. I mean, Berman telling the cast members that everyone who's playing a human on the show has to tone done their character's emotions is really ridiculous. Wang says that only Neelix and the Doctor were allowed to show emotions and be funny. I can' believe these were Berman's beliefs.

I came to the part in question and man does this sound very different from what I've heard and seen in the past. It's almost like Wang is throwing Jeri Ryan under the bus here, and I have to wonder if he's allowing his anger to affect his judgment. Also, he knows he's not very much liked on Voyager so I wonder if that has anything to do with it. But still, you watch the DVD's and you see Jeri Ryan full of life and laughing and maybe she is acting but for Mulgrew to say things like "I loved Jeri" and then hearing this, I think I would believe Mulgrew more even if both were exaggerating. Much like how Beltran, Lien, and now Wang felt, we may just never know.

My thoughts exactly. And therefore I do think that Garrett is over exaggerating a little. I am not saying that he is lying, but I think he might have "colored" the facts a little bit here.

i really don't think there's any reason to assume Garret is lying.
I've heard from other sources than Garret about Berman telling the crew to tone down their emotions to make other characters stand out, there really is no reason he would make up stories about them having to do reshoots because Mulgrew let a tear fall out or someone was too emotional.
Just because Jeri's laughing and enjoying herself in some interview didn't mean there was no friction between her and Mulgrew. You can tell from Mulgrew's expressions and by what she says on the interviews, she wasn't keen on Seven coming. And Jeri Ryan is hardly gonna say in an interview on the offical Star Trek dvds "Oh me and Mulgrew never got along, she was kinda of a snide b*tch actually".
Even without any of this evidence, its a pretty likely assumption there was friction between the two of them.

He needn't be "lying". It was a few years ago now, there's been a lot of water under the bridge, so he may be honestly mistaken.

His career hasn't exactly taken off since Voyager finished, he spends most of his time at conventions telling people how terrible it all was, so I wouldn't put him down as a completely infallible witness. You'd need to find out what Tim Russ or Robert Duncan McNeill, for example, thought as well.

I thought it was common knowledge too. I've definately heard stories of a similar nature about Mulgrew. Apparently, she is well known for the diva behaviour.

I can't say I blame her entirely for being upset, but it's not too professional to take it out on the actor who is just brought in to do a job. I don't like the character Seven of Nine too much myself, but it wasn't really Jeri Ryans fault. She did well in the role, a very good actor. Well, in Voyager she was, I didn't see her in anything else.

I guess we may never know the whole truth.

How many times a day at all these conventions do you think that he's told that he sucks, Kim sucks or were young Jeri's boobs pert or lush under all that chicken wire and padding.

Just because he's worked himself into a delusional state of self denial about how he's one step from being a 90 year old Burt Ward in full Robin attire opening car washes, it doesn't mean that some of what he's saying is the truth... Especially the lies.

If she made the workplace so utterly unbearable fro any pretender showing up to replace poor sweet little Jennifer, then obviously they'd have to hire Jennifer back after everyone else ran screaming like the 11 governesses before Maria. It's not a very good plan, but if Jeri wasn't sleeping with Braga, it might have worked.

Has Duncan McNiel (Probably spelled that wrong) been interviewed? It seems like everyone was outspoken except for the guy playing the most outspoken down to earth character. Would have been nice to hear what he thought of working on the show post series.

The fact that Jeri never speaks ill about any of her VOY coworkers, however little some of them have shared the gesture of basic decency, and the fact that she apparently chose to find something positive in what really MUST have been a hellish experience...emotionally and physically...speaks loudly, and well.

I've said it before, and I say it again...Jeri is a gem.

Hopefully she knows that there are a lot of fans out there who appreciated her efforts and her character, not just immature naysayers.

He is still young though. He should get off of the convention circuit and try and get back into acting. I think it is kind of sad when Trek actors just kind of give up after Trek and spend all of their time at cons. It seems like a waste of good talent.

A lot of people bash his acting, but I think he did a decent job with a pretty thankless role. Yeah he probably won't ever be brilliant or anything, but I see a lot of people who I consider far worse actors than him getting steady work.

I blame the writers for Kim's general dullness, not Wang.
