Jack Bauer’s body, believed to be mortally wounded by a gunshot to the back of the head, was put inside of a stasis canister in the early twenty-first century. So was the body of the man who had killed Jack’s daughter, and her child. His name was Thomas Devron. He was part of a cabal to replace all the world’s rulers with clones.
Then, three hundred years in the future, the canisters that contained Bauer and Devron, which had been lost through time, were found. Upon having his own wound repaired by Doctor Julian Bashir, Devron attacked Bashir, killed him, and then escaped the Starfleet medical center he had been brought to at a complex in twenty-fourth century Siberia.
Upon finding historic data about Jack Bauer, Admiral Picard ordered that he too, Jack Bauer, be brought back from the “dead”. Captain Beverly Crusher-Picard, now the wife of Admiral Picard, operated on and was able to remove the bullet from backs head. Bauer has now been enlisted to track down the escaped murderer of Bashir; Thomas Devron.
We now continue…
Going Home
It had been a long time since Jack Bauer had last stood inside of CTU’s command center. Even though it was only a Holodeck representation, it didn’t matter to Jack, to him it was real. The various computer stations, the arrangement of the chairs, all of what made the command center what it was, Jack had been able to convey to the programmer, Lt. Ronald D Moore. With Jack’s exact details and lay out of the CTU, Lt. Ronald D Moore was able to recreate the massive five story complex; including the server room where even Teri Bauer, Jack’s wife, had been murdered by one of Jack’s one time partners Nina Meyers.
Jack stood in that server room, totally lost in the memory of that day, which found him trying to save the life of the then American President, David Palmer. But the events of that day had spiraled into a more fantastic plot that eventually cost the life of Jack's wife.
The murder of Teri, an innocent victim, at the hands of Nina Meyer had shaken Jack to the core and would shape the foundation of his very being for the rest of his life. And all though Kim, Teri and Jack’s daughter, said that she had forgiven him for her mother’s death, Jack never really believe she had; completely. And then, Kim her self was brutally raped and killed, with her young child clutched in her arms, and then even the child was murdered as well. Jack had never found himself wrapped in the envelopeo revenge; but now he was. Thomas Devron would die, and Jack would be the knife that ended the vile man's life.
All of that, Teri's death, and Kim's death as well, were ancient memories. Jack Bauer was now in the twenty-fourth century, practically three hundred years in the future. It would have been the same had someone from the 1700s had come into Jack’s own real time; the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. It was mind boggling to say the least.
Jack closed his eyes, and tried his best to make the bad memories fade away. He had to, or he would find himself losing his minds. He took one last look at the room where Teri had died, and then he made his way back into the main tactical ops center of CTU. And as he did, he was pleasantly surprised to see his good friend Chloe O’Brian sitting at her post. Jack walked over to her.
“Its good to see you,” Jack said to Chloe, desperately wanting to change his depressing mood.
In her usual way, Chloe talked to Jack while not taking her eye off of her work.
“Come on Jack,” Chloe said, in her soft, yet alluring, whining voice. “We don’t have time for this. Bill wants me to reconstitute the CTU files, so I don’t really have time for games right now, if you know what I mean?”
“That’s right,” came from another voice from behind Jack. “We need to get you out there in the field. Devron isn’t going to wait for us. He’s no doubt making his next move as we speak.”
Jack turned around to see another ghost from his past. Bill Buchanan.
“It’s really you,” Jack said with a smile.
“Jack,” Bill said in all seriousness, “if you’re still being affected by the Prion derivative, perhaps you should let Rene and the FBI handle this.”
Jack had to keep remembering that the characters inside the holograms were acting off the most detailed profiles that he, and Lt. Moore, had written for them. And more importantly, they, Chloe and Bill, were unaware of the passage of time. Bill had actually died in the line of duty protecting the President, and Chloe had eventually passed away as well. That aspect of there being, their deaths, was obviously not included with their profiles.
“No,” Jack said. “I’m alright. Just a little confused for a moment.” He turned his attention back to Chloe. “What do you have for me?”
The CTU computers were actually routed through the Federation databases and servers. But for all intents and purposes, at least in Chloe’s and Bill’s eyes, they were routed through NSA, CIA and other cover ops.
“Apparently there was some kind of incident on Starbase 142,” Chloe said as she read the data that began to fill the screen. She created several windows to review the different flows of information she was tracking.

Outside the Holodeck, Admiral Jean-Luc Picard, Captain Beverly Picard, and Lt. Ronald D. Moore all watched the events transpiring inside the holodeck with Jack and the two characters.
“What about that,” Beverly said to Picard. “Is that true? Was there an incident on Starbase 142?”
Lt. Moore, with out being told to, used his own computer to access the data that Chloe was sifting through.
“Yes,” Moore finally replied. “The security division on 142 is investigating the suspicious deaths of a Cardassian woman and her daughter.”
“How did the Chloe character find that info so fast?” Admiral Picard asked Moore.
“Like I said,” Moore replied to Picard, “I’m really good at what I do. Mr. Bauer gave me the most complete profiles I have ever had to go on. And if Chloe was able to find statistical data that led her to this event on 142, then her ability to work through sub-files and redundant backup protocols could rival even our most experienced twenty-fourth century analyzing experts.”
“Amazing,” Bev and Jean-Luc each muttered in unison.
At that moment, the door to the holodeck opened and Jack came out.
“I suppose you are going to Starbase 142?” Admiral Picard asked Jack.
“Yes,” Jack said. “But I have to hurry. Thomas Devron moves very quickly.”
“You seem worried,” Beverly added.
“I am,” Jack allowed. “He had to know that I would find out about the murder of this woman and her child. He wants me to follow him.”
“He wants you to catch him?” Admiral Picard asked
