I don't suppose "Angel" even counts as having a premise other than maybe "high school girl's vampire ex plays Batman," which is pretty derivative.

I describe it as "Good vampire seeks redemption by battling evil lawyers," myself.

You can have all the supermodels. I would be all over November/Mellie, who is pretty and stacked!

Not that I care about such things (Helo's shower scene is much more my style), but I have been pleasantly surprised to see a fuller-figured (read: normal sized) woman in the regular cast, following in the footsteps of Tara from Buffy and Kaylee from Firefly.

That's fine. I never said the others were unattractive, but given that the type is generally all you see on TV, it's refreshing, as just mentioned, to see someone like November in a cast that includes Sierra (supermodel), Dr. What's her face (mousy supermodel), Adelle (old supermodel) and Echo (really short supermodel), and in this case, November's my preference.

You can't blame the Dollhouse for picking the kind of women people are going to want as Actives. Otherwise, where are all the fat, ugly guys ?

I did point out, however, that Ballard's sexuality should have been brought in to question when Mellie showed up in early on. Someone that hot is offering to cook for him and he turns it down ?

Actually, that's a valid question. It might be rhetorical if the Dollhouse were in Minnesota, but we're talking LA. Given the variety of sexual and emotional proclivities likely to be found in a large city on either coast, adding a couple of Bob Rooneys might add to the Dollhouse's customer base.

Above Average. As with the last episode it simply ran out of steam in the last ten minutes. I think the series would benefit from a more restricted runtime.

I actually expected, once it became apparent that she obviously couldn't remember anything between her last scan and her death, that in that time she would have discovered something that made her kill herself - which I think would have been a better ending than "the son did it".

That would've been great.

Regarding the copy/transfer debate, it could be done gradually over the course of a lifetime. Have the brain start out as entirely organic with a permanently attached machine mapping and emulating its processes, then gradually allow the machine to encroach upon the mind, enhancing existing functionality and replacing it as it's lost through damage or ageing. Eventually the machine will be running everything.

You're right, actually. Eliza Dushku is 5'5", Amy Acker is 5'8". I suppose it must just be that everyone else in Angel was so tall, I always thought of her as fairly short.
